As someone with very dry skin, I've tried every facial oil as soon as they're released, even in summer! I decided to try this one since it was ranked #1 on Get It Beauty. The feel is really nice - not too light, not too oily, it absorbs well, and leaves a subtle, fresh oiliness on the skin. The price is good too, so I keep using it. There wasn't anything particularly disappointing. I apply oil twice in my skincare routine - first after essence for a massage, then again after emulsion. Using it twice like this can cause some pilling when applying makeup. If you're putting on makeup, I recommend using it just once. I've been applying it right after my water-based essence for a massage, and it seems to work well. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 4, 2019
As someone with extremely dry skin, I find this oil amazing! It keeps my makeup from flaking and leaves my skin feeling incredibly hydrated. The only downside is that there's a bit of pilling when I apply makeup over it. But aside from that, it's really great! For an extra boost of hydration, try adding a drop of this to lukewarm water for your final cleanse. It works wonders! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinDec 4, 2018
As a lucky winner of The Hwahae Testers, I'll share my experience using this oil for about 3 weeks! Skin type: Combination (leaning more towards oily) Application: It glides on smoothly with a slippery feel typical of oils Absorption: Initially, I applied 5-6 drops, but whether due to my combination skin or the oil's nature, it left a rather shiny finish even after absorption. Reducing it to half the amount resulted in better absorption and less shine Hydration: In terms of moisturizing power alone, it's definitely effective, likely due to being an oil! I didn't experience any tightness or dryness at all! Longevity: When applied before bed, my skin remained hydrated until morning. However, when used in the morning, it produced excess oil under makeup. So, I now use only a tiny amount in the morning. The staying power seems great! Rather than pointing out drawbacks, I'd like to offer tips based on skin types. If you have oily skin, you might not need to use oil at all. In fact, using oil might lead to excessive shine and cause your makeup to pill! For those with dry skin, while it might seem pricey for a drugstore product, I'd recommend snagging it during a sale! It seems better to apply just two or three drops rather than using too much product! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 3, 2018
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. Skin type: Dry 1. Balanced oil content For a face oil, it has a comfortable level of richness that isn't overwhelming to use. 2. Perfect match with foundation I had a foundation I'd bought but wasn't using because it was too dry. I mixed in a drop of this oil, and voilà! It transformed into a dewy, glowing foundation. 3. Fresh feel Some face oils can leave your skin feeling like it's covered in dust, but this product doesn't do that at all. 1. Scent Personally... I'm not a fan of the fragrance. 2. Too heavy for all-over use I recommend mixing it with foundation or moisturizer instead of applying it all over your face. 3. Pilling issues After applying this as a base, test it with your other skincare or makeup products like foundation or BB cream before full application. I applied it only to dry areas, followed by sunscreen, and it pilled so much it looked like I had exfoliated my face! It's best to test for pilling with your other products first. Mixing it with foundation or moisturizer works great.
