There weren't really any downsides. I used it comfortably without any issues.

I've been using this eyeliner exclusively for years now. It applies smoothly and doesn't smudge unless you rub your eyes vigorously. It's easy to remove with cleanser without irritating your eyes, making it perfect for daily use.

It smudges less than pencil types. They said it was chocolate color, but when applied to the eyes, it's darker than expected and looks almost black. Of course, it's different from pure black, but I wanted a lighter shade. Maybe because it's new, it's quite dark and intense. Also, they claimed it wouldn't smudge, but it does, especially at the corners of the eyes where it comes off easily... sigh.

Hmm... it seems to be soft, easy to apply, and creates a defined line. It comes off easily with a wet wipe, so I think it will wash off gently during cleansing.

The color payoff is quite vibrant, so you'll need to blend it out well when using it for eyeliner and eyeshadow.

The liquid eyeliner tends to come out unevenly. It can sometimes apply a bit splotchy.
