I received this as a gratis item. Being a dermatologist-developed product, it has gentle ingredients, and I feel like my skin is improving. Rather than being a thin essence, it has a thicker consistency that requires a bit of shaking to dispense. This makes it somewhat challenging to apply. - sw*********Oily SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsEnlarged PoresMar 29, 2018
This product has a white, slightly viscous emulsion-like texture. It's a bit thinner than your typical emulsion and feels like a concentrated essence used in place of toner, without any purified water. Made with extracts like Polygonum cuspidatum and Zanthoxylum piperitum, which are great for inflammation and blemish-prone skin, I bought it hoping it would help my troubled complexion. After application, it leaves no oily residue but feels incredibly hydrating, as if it's created a protective film on the skin. The application experience is quite unique. (I personally apply it by first spreading it all over with my palms, letting it absorb, then generously applying a second layer like an essence.) Since using this product, my skin texture has become smoother and more refined, my pores seem smaller, and my complexion has become more even. While I don't think it's necessarily brightened my skin, the improved evenness does make it appear somewhat brighter (though this might just be my perception). Even my small blemishes have subsided. It's the first time I've been this satisfied with just a toner... Since everything else in my routine from cleansing to moisturizing has remained the same, I believe these improvements are due to this product. I'm extremely pleased. The scent is almost non-existent, but if I had to describe it, there's a very faint smell reminiscent of flour paste? But really, it's practically fragrance-free. After using this, I just apply one moisturizer and I'm done with my skincare routine. I'm so satisfied that I plan to repurchase. This product contains alcohol (ethanol). There are mixed opinions about whether alcohol is good or bad for oily and acne-prone skin. When applied, it feels cool with a slight tingling sensation. Alcohol can cause moisture evaporation... (That's why I deducted one star.) While the surface feels smooth and glowy, after a short while it can feel a bit dry, so you'll need to apply a moisturizer. On another note, while it's a positive in terms of quality, the thick glass bottle makes it quite heavy. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJun 22, 2017
I started using this Bano product on a friend's recommendation. Recently, I've been feeling incredibly exhausted, but since I began using this, I haven't experienced any blemishes, and people have been complimenting my skin a lot! It's truly amazing. It really seems to live up to its 7-in-1 claim, performing all the beneficial functions. I noticed it's undergone numerous clinical trials too! There's always a reason why good products stand out. I use it morning and evening after cleansing, applying it with a cotton pad, and it gives me this refreshing feeling? Anyway, I absolutely love this Bio Essence! It's quite expensive! I wish they would offer more sales! The cotton pads that come with it seem rather cheap quality. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 20, 2017
I bought this directly from the hospital! The texture is an emulsion type. While I was hoping for a slightly richer feel, I'm satisfied with how well it absorbs and applies. My mom also loves it and has repurchased it. I'm even more pleased knowing it's free of harmful ingredients. I wish it had been launched earlier! Hwahae is the best! The price is a bit steep... But aside from that, I'm satisfied with everything about this product. Of course, it's still cheaper than some other more expensive essence toners, and the ingredients are good too.
