Hydration I usually don't prefer moisturizing cleansers. My skin is quite oily, you know! I typically like that squeaky clean feeling... that 'Ah, my face is thoroughly cleansed' sensation. But surprisingly, I really liked the hydration this cleanser provides. It doesn't leave a greasy residue, but instead leaves my skin feeling moisturized without any tightness. 2. Impurity and Dead Skin Cell Removal The rice powder particles provide a nice scrubbing effect, making it great for gentle exfoliation and even tackling those pesky whiteheads! While it might not be strong enough for blackheads, I've noticed a significant reduction in the small bumps around my nose and other areas. My nose and chin, which used to be quite rough, now feel much smoother! 3. Decent Ingredients The ingredient list looks pretty good! Though I'm a bit puzzled about the fragrance...
Cons1. Ingredients and Scent I'm concerned about the fragrance in the ingredients... What kind of scent did they add? Isn't fragrance usually added to mask unpleasant smells from raw materials? The scent isn't pleasant at all... I didn't even realize fragrance was added. In fact, the smell might be off-putting for those with super sensitive skin. It's puzzling... 2. Cleansing Effectiveness A cleanser should live up to its name with good cleansing power, but this one is so mild that its effectiveness is... hmm... about 70%? That's why I don't use this alone when removing makeup. I'd recommend it as a second cleanser or for morning cleansing! It's fine to use on its own on days when you've been makeup-free and stayed at home. 3. Lather Of course, it's probably due to the ingredients, but I prefer a rich, dense lather (which my usual cleanser provides). This one doesn't produce that kind of foam... Even if you try to work up a lather, it quickly dissipates. The large particles and thin consistency make me wonder if it's less effective at attracting impurities, resulting in weaker cleansing power. If you're looking for a cleanser that produces a rich lather, you might be disappointed with this one.
TipYou can get a better lather using those heart-shaped foam nets sold at Daiso for just a dollar! When I've done a full face of makeup including primer, I first cleanse thoroughly with my regular cleanser, then I use this one with the foam net for a second cleanse. It's great because it's non-irritating. However, I wouldn't recommend this for those with sensitive skin prone to contact dermatitis or those who can't tolerate scrubs!
