I should have smelled it in-store before buying... The scent is... like all the nuts in the world gathered and left to rot for 100 years. It's so unbearable that I had to throw it away after using it only three times. What a waste of money...

Due to the nature of shea butter, you have to melt it before use, which can be a bit inconvenient.

The pure shea butter definitely provides great hydration. You need to scoop out a bit and gently melt it before applying. It's quite rich, so I only use it in winter. I'm on my second jar now. The first one worked wonders, but for some reason, the second caused blemishes, so I had to stop using it on my face. I still use it on rough areas like my heels and elbows though.
