Due to the nature of shea butter, you have to melt it before use, which can be a bit of a hassle.

The moisturizing effect of pure shea butter is definite. You just need to scoop a little, gently melt it, and apply it. It's a bit heavy, so I only use it in the winter. I'm on my second tub, but one of them caused some trouble, so I had to stop using it. I've been using it on my heels and elbows as well.

It has a kind of natural scent, but I think people will have mixed opinions about it.
It seems to be a bit more expensive than the product we used before.

My husband has psoriasis, and our 4-year-old second child has dyshidrotic eczema, so we've always kept Nourish Food Shea Butter on hand and used it. This time, we tried this product for the first time.
First of all, the spreadability is much smoother than the product we used before, which is comfortable and nice.
It melts well and is soft.
And it includes a spatula, so it's good that we can use it hygienically.

It seems good to mix it a little with oil. It's not too thick and sticky either.

The ingredients are really great, and it's nice that I can use it safely.

At first, I carried the large container, but it's better to decant it into a smaller sample container or a flatter one for easier use.

While the effects are good, the price is a bit on the higher side. And due to its organic nature, it's difficult to use for an extended period. In the summer, I had trouble carrying it around as it melted.

The product has a great capacity and applying it to the lips is effective, even in the early stages of inflammation. Moisturization is a given, and I haven't seen anything as effective for lip hydration as this. I'm also satisfied that it doesn't contain any irritating ingredients.

I use this on my lips as a lip balm, and anywhere else I get flaky skin like elbows, ankles, and heels - it really helps calm everything down. After doing a face mask, I'll apply a thin layer of this before bed and my skin looks so much better the next day. Just be careful not to over-apply, as too much can potentially cause breakouts from over-nourishment. I keep little portions in different places so I can quickly apply it whenever my skin needs it.

Since it's unrefined and organic, the efficacy may not be as high, and some people's skin may not agree with it. But it's available to test and purchase in-person at places like Shinsegae Duty Free in Pangyo.

During seasonal changes and winter, my mouth and cheeks would often develop scaly flakes, so I was searching for a really moisturizing product and happened to start using this - it's become my all-time favorite.  Even though I have an oily skin type, I didn't experience any clogged pores or breakouts with this.

Previously, I would rely on toners, serums, and the Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream to get through dry spells, but my skin would still flake up badly after applying makeup. But after using this, those concerns disappeared. I don't use it every single day, but whenever my skin feels like it's starting to get parched, this calms it right down.

The shea butter commonly used is from West Africa, but this one is from East Africa, so it's a different variety. It's a single-ingredient, extra virgin, cold-pressed oil. And it's ECOCERT certified organic!! There are other brands available through overseas shopping, but I just find this one convenient to stick with...

📍Scent and Color
Some reviews say the scent isn't great, but I actually really like the distinctive aroma of the unrefined oil - it feels more trustworthy to me, and the smell isn't overpowering at all. The color is more yellow compared to the refined white shea butter.

📍Texture
At room temperature it's solid like regular shea butter, but it's a bit creamier and softer. I can just scoop it out with a spatula and it melts right into an oil texture on my fingertips. It does take a little while to fully absorb, but once it does, it's not sticky at all, just nicely soft and moisturizing.

📍Price
It seems they have 1+1 sales sometimes, and compared to products packed with preservatives and fragrance like The Body Shop or L'Occitane, I don't think this organic, high-quality option is overpriced at all.

It is best to apply it after cleansing your face before bed, or mix it with your regular makeup products when going out.

For those with oily skin, using this product may result in a greasy feeling.
It also has a distinct (?) shea butter scent.

The staying power is truly exceptional.
I apply it before going to bed in the evening, and when I touch my face in the morning, it is still smooth.


To be honest, a product like this isn't really necessary in the middle of summer. During the hot season, just make sure to store it in a cool, well-sealed place. Then, around fall, you can take it out again, skim off the top layer, and it'll be good as new. (It has a 12-month shelf life after opening.)

It does have a bit of an odor - kind of like old, rancid nut oils. If you're sensitive to scents, I'd suggest testing it out first.

I went to Hyundai Department Store and couldn't resist an impulsive purchase of the '100% Organic Shea Butter' product due to its appealing description and rich, moisturizing feel. It's reasonably priced and the quantity is quite generous. Since it's 100% pure shea butter, I'd recommend mixing it into your lotions, creams, or oils and applying it.

It's a bit tricky to apply since it's in solid form.

I bought several small cream jars from Daiso and divided them up. I keep one in my bag, one in my pocket, one in the car, and one on my vanity. I use it as a hand cream and lip balm, and apply it anywhere that feels dry.

I usually get breakouts right away if I have too much oil, but this moisturizer didn't cause any trouble even when I applied it on top. It also feels less heavy.

Since it melts so easily, it can be a bit too runny, and just a small amount spreads out widely, so the moisturizing power seems a bit lacking compared to using other shea butters. For extremely dry skin in the winter, the moisture level is quite disappointing.
However, if you apply too much at once, it can feel a bit itchy and greasy, like oil dripping, and makes it difficult to apply sunscreen on top. 
It works well when layered on the skin, but the more I use it, the heavier and more irritated my eyelids feel, so I likely won't repurchase this.

This shea butter melts much more easily than typical shea butters. As someone with cold hands, I can feel it melting immediately when I touch it with my chilly hands. It melts smoothly and applies softly, almost like an oil balm. The oily texture leaves a nice, dewy glow, making it great for dry skin.
It is unrefined and the color is a very light, pale yellow, with hardly any distinct scent.
This product is made from West African shea butter, so the usage experience is quite different from regular West African shea butter. It melts easily, making it pleasant to apply on the skin.
There is no dizziness from strong odors, no grittiness that irritates the skin, and it melts quickly, which is great.
