I purchased this for contouring and tried using it on my jawline. Every time I went out wearing it, no matter how much I blended, people would always ask if I had something on my chin. It was so embarrassing! Please, whatever you do, don't buy this for contouring!

I bought this for contouring, and while it wasn't quite suitable for that purpose, it works great for eyeshadow. It's easy to apply and has good staying power, which I really appreciate.

I'm not sure about contouring, but... if you hold the wider side horizontally when applying, it breaks easily.

It absorbs so nicely, which I really love. At first, it goes on quite rich, but when you spread it with your fingers, it becomes sheer - perfect for creating a subtle contoured look!

The color is too dark and noticeable, so I might need to try a different shade. For contouring the jawline or other areas, it's a bit... too defined.

The affordable price makes it easy to collect different shades. When I first applied this, it reminded me of Etude House's Play 101 Stick Shading (shade 18). Compared to shade 18, this one is significantly darker, with an intense color that's more suitable for eye makeup - it even stays put when wiped with toner! (The 4th swatch is Play 101 Stick shade 18). The texture is also relatively thicker, and if not careful, it might clump. On the bright side, it's easily removed with a double cleanse using cleansing emulsion and foam.

In my opinion, this might not be suitable for those with dry skin. I switched from powder to stick contouring, but this formula isn't particularly hydrating. It could work well for natural contouring on those with a complexion around shade 23.

The stick formula isn't particularly moisturizing, which doesn't pair well with my dry skin, so you need to be careful when blending. The product doesn't fill the entire tube - there's a gap between the solid stick and the container walls, making it prone to breaking. Mine snapped after about a week and a half of use. You can still use it by keeping it in the tube and only exposing a small amount, but I'm curious why they designed it this way.

As someone who usually finds shade 23 foundations/cushions slightly light, I think shade 5 is a good match for me. However, it has a slight reddish undertone, so I wouldn't recommend it for those solely looking for shading purposes. It's not dark enough to dramatically reshape your jawline or nose, but it's perfect for natural contouring.

The very noticeable contouring effect could be a drawback for some. I always try to make it look more natural by lightly patting a cushion foundation over the contoured areas.

I switched from Missha contouring to this, and I'm absolutely loving it! The contouring effect is so noticeable.

At home, I can spread it evenly with a sponge, but when using it with my hands outside, it's easy to get clumped, especially on my chin, so I had to be careful.
