A small amount is enough to make it soft and fluffy. I use a conditioner once a week, and if my hair feels a bit stiff, I apply this product after shampooing and it makes my hair soft and smooth. The left side is the right side, and the right side is the wrong side. I got a perm a while ago, and the curls came back nicely, which I really liked.
