I tend to have noticeable lip flakiness, but the mint color acts like a lip balm, so my lips don't feel dry. It can get dry over time, but reapplying helps reduce the dryness, which is nice. 2. The color payoff is good. It's close to a reddish-pink shade. You might think the mint color would be odd, but the mint part is actually colorless (seems like it's just for the lip balm function?). One application gives a natural pink, two applications give more of a pink-coral? color. (It's pink if you apply it over your natural lip color) 3. If you apply it a few times, it stains well~ The staying power is only weak before it starts to stain. By the second or third application, it's already staining! This product seems great for those with severe lip flakiness who want to use it as a lipstick-like balm. It's redder than a typical lip balm but has a more chewy? balm-like feel compared to lipsticks. While its staying power isn't exceptional, the staining effect makes up for it. On days when I don't use lip balm, using this alone works well.
Cons1. It's a bit inconvenient that you don't twist it up like a lipstick, takes some getting used to. 2. It's not great for gradients. The mint part is colorless. If you blend it too much, the gradient effect disappears... It just becomes a full color application, so you have to leave it as is for a gradient look. Personally, I use Dior and Innisfree lip balms... This feels similar to those lipstick-alternative balms. I'd recommend it to those looking for a lipstick substitute due to dry lips. I think the color would suit cool-toned people better than warm-toned individuals like myself!
