Finding the right nude lip color can be really challenging. They can often look too pale, too orange, or even sickly. What's more, nude lips are particularly sensitive to skin tone. Try the Mute Tone 22 shade! Based on my skin tone (22), this is a perfect 'my lips but better' nude - not too pale, not too orange, and doesn't make me look unwell. I haven't found anything better for a natural, 'no makeup' makeup look. Even if you're not a mute tone, this can work well as a base lip color when mixed with other shades. The formula is creamy with a subtle sheen - not too glossy, not too matte. The color payoff is just right, not too much or too little.

The color is quite nice, but the formula has a glittery, pearly finish that I don't love. The small particles of shimmer feel gritty when applying and removing the product, and they tend to linger on the lips even after wiping it off.
