In the very dry winter months, applying it in thin layers multiple times really helps lock in the moisture and improves absorption.

I've been using this product for over 3 years, and as someone with dry skin, I've tried many good essences, but they were often too expensive and lacked sufficient moisture. This product, however, is amazing in terms of both price and moisture content. It applies so smoothly and has a wonderfully plump texture!
I rarely use emulsions or heavy creams as I find they tend to clog my pores, so I prefer to layer this essence. Even when I apply it 3 times, there's no stickiness, and it absorbs beautifully under makeup. I'm absolutely in love with this product!^^

When I apply it, there is a slightly stinging sensation all over my face.
It's like a carbonated feeling? The stinging is unpleasant, even though it absorbs really quickly.

In some areas, it makes my skin turn red, and the redness takes a while to calm down, sometimes disappearing quickly, sometimes lasting.
It's different every day.

This is the first whitening skincare product I've tried, so I'm curious if this is normal - why does it have this stinging, irritating feeling?

The cap is really bad too. 
It's too small, so it never closes properly and just kind of sits on top, and it seems like no effort was put into the cap at all.

It has a similar smell to cucumber, but the scent is not very pleasant, though it is mild.
It has a light and watery texture, not sticky, and absorbs quickly.
It has a bit of moisture, but you need to apply a moisturizing cream or lotion afterwards.
If you apply this and then the Soothing All-Care Cream, it becomes very moisturizing.
It's suitable for use during seasonal changes and is marketed for all skin types, but it would likely be good for oily or combination skin.

+ Addition on 12.2:
For the first few days, there was a stinging sensation like carbonation, but after about a week, that was completely gone. 
If I apply an essence and then the soothing cream, my skin stays moisturized all day. 
Most importantly, it has a whitening effect. 
My skin seems to respond well to products, as both the side effects and the benefits show up easily.
Without even doing extra exfoliation, my skin became a lot brighter and more even-toned. 
The dark spots and uneven skin tone on my face compared to the rest of my body have evened out.
I had accepted that my skin was just getting dull with age, but now it's brightened up, which is great. The moderate moisturizing is also nice.
