My hair feels a bit thicker, but it's also quite stiff. Even though I have dry hair, it's stiff and has a strong smell - like herbs or medicinal plants. I've tried similar shampoos from other brands before and ended up throwing them away. I'm worried this might end up the same way. The stiffness makes my hair fall out more when drying, and it doesn't lather much. It seems like the foam gets completely absorbed into my hair. I had high hopes, but I'm disappointed. Using a foaming net helps create a good lather. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 19, 2020
The cleansing effectiveness is excellent and the ingredients are great. The overall user experience is quite good as well. I'm not sure if I have dandruff-prone dry scalp, but I was shocked to see dead skin cells falling off in droves when drying my hair after using this shampoo. Apart from the flaking issue, it's less drying than other shampoos for dry hair, with many positive points. I'm mentioning this because I didn't see it in other reviews. While the ingredients are good and it cleanses well, and I'd like to keep using it since my hair stays oil-free for two days without washing if I don't touch it, the appearance of dandruff when I wash and dry my hair... I guess it just doesn't suit my scalp. - de********Dry SkinRecommendedMar 28, 2020
I bought this product because it uses palm kernel glucoside and decyl glucoside. I actually reviewed a similar herbal-like shampoo from the same manufacturer, and someone recommended this one in the comments, so I decided to give it a try. As expected, the surfactants weren't harsh, so it was fairly gentle on my scalp. I was also really pleased with the packaging, especially after being extremely disappointed with the J*nmo shampoo container I used before. The peony root inside also gives it an eco-friendly touch. Compared to J*nmo, it didn't leave my scalp feeling as light, and it didn't give my hair as much volume, so I won't be repurchasing (if I hadn't known about the other shampoo, I might have considered buying this again). I also prefer the rosemary-infused scent of J*nmo. This one has a herbal smell, but with a slight artificial cosmetic fragrance that was disappointing (seems like the perfume aspect could use some work). Personally, I'm not a fan of the peony root pieces concept, as they make the remaining product look murky. I've tried it once, and that's enough for me. I've already switched back to my original shampoo. I always double cleanse with shampoo. The manufacturer is ENS Korea (may their business prosper). - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 1, 2019
The fragrance is subtle and not overpowering. It is a gentle product that can be used even by elementary school children without any trouble, not just by adults. There is some disappointment in the oil removal. While it seems to protect the scalp and hair, there is a slightly greasy feeling to the hair, so I am alternating it with a shampoo with a bit more cleansing power. - be****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 23, 2018
I am a woman in my early 40s. I have a few gray hairs and my scalp tends to get dry, especially in the changing seasons and winter, which causes some itchiness. My hair is on the thicker side. The best thing about the Hwahae shampoo was that it didn't cause any hair loss and relieved the itchiness. Of course, I used it because the ingredients are safe. The lather was also good, and my hair felt smooth and silky. The price is a bit burdensome. And there's fragrance added at the end, but other than that, I'm satisfied with everything. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedAug 12, 2018
Due to atopic dermatitis, my scalp has dandruff and itchiness even in the summer. The medicated lotion from the dermatologist was too irritating and harsh, so I looked into organic products and started using this one. It's so gentle and soft, and it's been great. The constant itchiness has improved a lot, and I'm planning to keep using it because the ingredients are good, and I can trust it. My hair has become so soft and smooth. I don't use hair packs or conditioners to avoid irritation, but this shampoo alone makes my hair so soft - I highly recommend it. It's already soft even when rinsing. And since it's mildly acidic, it's just perfect. If you have scalp issues, you should definitely try this! There are reviews saying it doesn't lather much, but for me, who uses only a small amount, it's fine. A small amount still creates enough lather. I always rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water, no matter the product. I also don't apply the shampoo directly to my scalp, but instead, I create a small amount of lather in my hands and distribute it evenly across my head. It's non-irritating, and even after rinsing thoroughly, my hair is left soft and smooth. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 3, 2018
Since giving birth, my hair has been falling out a lot and feeling a bit dull, but using this shampoo has given me a refreshed and squeaky-clean feeling. That's why I'm buying it again.^^ The price is a bit expensive. :( I wish there were smaller sizes available too. - st********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 21, 2018
I've been using this brand consistently because the ingredients are good. As it's an organic shampoo, it's gentle and doesn't cause any irritation or breakouts, which I'm really happy about. I wish it had a refreshing, cool menthol-like sensation. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMar 29, 2018
The hair feels soft and smooth even with just the shampoo, perhaps because it's an organic product. The price is quite expensive, which is disappointing, but the product's ingredients are trustworthy. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 26, 2018
I first purchased this offline and liked it so much that I reordered it from the official online store and have been using it continuously. I started using it because my dry scalp was itchy, but the itchiness has gone away, the ingredients are gentle, and the cleansing power is good, so I've settled on this shampoo. There are no downsides. The price range is a bit high, so it would be great if they offered a larger size option.
