My hair feels a bit thicker, but it's also quite stiff. Even though I have dry hair, it's stiff and has a strong smell - like herbs or medicinal plants. I've tried similar shampoos from other brands before and ended up throwing them away. I'm worried this might end up the same way. The stiffness makes my hair fall out more when drying, and it doesn't lather much. It seems like the foam gets completely absorbed into my hair. I had high hopes, but I'm disappointed. Using a foaming net helps create a good lather. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedAug 19, 2020
The cleansing effectiveness is excellent and the ingredients are great. The overall user experience is quite good as well. I'm not sure if I have dandruff-prone dry scalp, but I was shocked to see dead skin cells falling off in droves when drying my hair after using this shampoo. Apart from the flaking issue, it's less drying than other shampoos for dry hair, with many positive points. I'm mentioning this because I didn't see it in other reviews. While the ingredients are good and it cleanses well, and I'd like to keep using it since my hair stays oil-free for two days without washing if I don't touch it, the appearance of dandruff when I wash and dry my hair... I guess it just doesn't suit my scalp. - de********Dry SkinRecommendedMar 28, 2020
I bought this product because it uses palm kernel glucoside and decyl glucoside. I actually reviewed a similar herbal-like shampoo from the same manufacturer, and someone recommended this one in the comments, so I decided to give it a try. As expected, the surfactants weren't harsh, so it was fairly gentle on my scalp. I was also really pleased with the packaging, especially after being extremely disappointed with the J*nmo shampoo container I used before. The peony root inside also gives it an eco-friendly touch. Compared to J*nmo, it didn't leave my scalp feeling as light, and it didn't give my hair as much volume, so I won't be repurchasing (if I hadn't known about the other shampoo, I might have considered buying this again). I also prefer the rosemary-infused scent of J*nmo. This one has a herbal smell, but with a slight artificial cosmetic fragrance that was disappointing (seems like the perfume aspect could use some work). Personally, I'm not a fan of the peony root pieces concept, as they make the remaining product look murky. I've tried it once, and that's enough for me. I've already switched back to my original shampoo. I always double cleanse with shampoo. The manufacturer is ENS Korea (may their business prosper). - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 1, 2019
The scent is subtle and non-irritating. It's a gentle product that's safe enough for not only adults but also elementary school-aged children to use without causing any blemishes. It falls short in oil removal. While it seems to protect the scalp and hair texture, it leaves the hair feeling slightly greasy. As a result, I alternate it with a shampoo that has stronger cleansing effectiveness. - be****Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 23, 2018
As a woman in my early 40s with some gray hair, I often experience scalp itchiness during seasonal changes and winter, likely due to dryness. My hair is on the thicker side. What I loved most about the Hwahae shampoo was that it prevented hair loss and eliminated itching. Of course, I used it because of its safe ingredients. It lathers well and left my hair feeling smooth. The price is quite burdensome. Also, I noticed there's fragrance added at the end of the ingredient list. Other than that, I'm completely satisfied. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedAug 12, 2018
I have atopic dermatitis, which causes my scalp to be flaky and itchy even in summer. The medicated solutions from dermatologists were too harsh and irritating, so I decided to try this organic product. It's incredibly gentle and leaves my hair silky smooth. With consistent use, the itchiness has significantly improved. I trust this product because of its high-quality ingredients. My scalp irritation has gotten much better, so I plan to keep using it. My hair texture has become wonderfully soft. I usually avoid hair packs and conditioners to prevent skin irritation, but this shampoo alone makes my hair so soft that I highly recommend it. It feels smooth even while rinsing. Plus, I love that it's slightly acidic. If you have scalp issues, you absolutely must try this! Some reviews mention that it doesn't lather much, but for someone like me who intentionally uses small amounts, it was fine. Even a small amount produces sufficient lather. Regardless of the product, I always rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. I don't apply shampoo directly to my scalp; instead, I create a lather with a small amount in my hands and apply it in sections. It's non-irritating, and even after rinsing extensively, my hair feels silky smooth when dry. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 3, 2018
After giving birth recently, I've been experiencing hair loss and my hair felt dry and lifeless. But using this shampoo made my scalp feel refreshed and my hair squeaky clean! That's why I'm buying it again. The price is a bit steep. I wish they offered a smaller size option. - st********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 21, 2018
I consistently use this brand because of its great ingredients. Being an organic shampoo, it's gentle and doesn't cause any irritation or blemishes, which I really appreciate. I wish it had a cool, refreshing sensation like peppermint. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMar 29, 2018
Being an organic product, it leaves my hair silky smooth even without conditioner While the price is a bit steep, which is disappointing, it's justified by the trustworthy ingredients used - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 26, 2018
I initially bought this offline, loved it so much that I repurchased from the official online store, and have been using it ever since. I tried it because I have a dry, itchy scalp, and it's been a game-changer. Not only did it eliminate the itchiness, but it also has gentle ingredients and excellent cleansing effectiveness. This shampoo has become my go-to. There's nothing I dislike about it. It's on the pricier side, so I wish they'd offer a larger size option.
