The scent is a major plus - it has a wonderful grapefruit aroma. The cleansing power is just right, and it lathers up nicely. I switched from using a Nature's Market shampoo, and I haven't experienced any adverse effects. I thought I was using a sulfate-free shampoo and felt safe, but I was shocked when I double-checked the ingredients. The fragrance seems really nice. The cleansing effectiveness and lather aren't bad either. I've been using it for two months now. This is my second review. After using it longer, I've concluded that this product doesn't seem to have great cleansing effectiveness. My scalp issues have improved a bit since my first review. I usually don't stress much about my hair care routine. I've dealt with extremely curly hair all my life, so I've tried everything. I've learned to accept and love my hair to some extent. However, I got really stressed this time because I was worried about seborrheic dermatitis leading to hair loss. Hair thickness is my one redeeming feature! Anyway, the thought of hair loss really depressed me. Now, to get to the point - I used to use Ryo shampoo, which I realize now had good cleansing power. I probably have a dry scalp, but this shampoo made my scalp extremely oily. At first, I thought this product was great because it added shine to my hair after using a natural anti-hair loss shampoo that left my hair feeling like straw. But that didn't last long. Usually, I can go a week without washing my hair and it won't get greasy, but with this shampoo, it starts feeling off after just half a day. Combining this with wearing a hat and not drying my hair properly, my scalp went crazy. So now I wash thoroughly, shampoo three times, massage my entire scalp, and dry it completely with cool air. That's brought my scalp back to normal. Once I finish this, I'm switching to a shampoo with better cleansing power. If you have oily skin, this might be a disaster for you.
