The hydration is fantastic, and I love that it doesn't leave my skin overly shiny There's nothing particularly disappointing about the product itself, but it's so hard to find in stores When I apply a generous amount before bed, I wake up without any worries about dead skin cells - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinApr 28, 2020
It's moisturizing and doesn't have any bothersome scent. I see Mentholatum is now making lip balms too. The formula is really soft and breaks easily. After writing this review, I applied it once and it ended up breaking. I just used what was left on my hands and threw it away. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAug 21, 2018
I've never seen a lip balm as good as this in my life. It's sad that more people don't use it. Olive Young used to have buy-one-get-one-free deals often, and I wish I had stocked up then. It's odorless, non-greasy, comes in a pretty case, and I love that it's in solid form. The hydration is great too. Everything about it is just perfect! I'd love to buy it on a buy-one-get-one-free deal, but they don't offer those anymore... Nothing else to add! A lip balm is just a lip balm after all. - Hwahae UserOily SkinJul 26, 2018
As someone who's usually super sensitive to lip balm scents, I found this one to be practically fragrance-free. The subtle hint of aroma it does have is actually quite pleasant. The hydration it provides is also pretty good. I accidentally rolled up the lip balm stick too far once and when I tried to lower it, I touched the inner adjustment bar. This caused the stick to smush quite a bit. While it's not a major inconvenience during use, the formula seems to be on the softer side. This would be perfect for those with fragrance sensitivities! The ingredients list isn't bad either... - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinJun 14, 2018
It's incredibly hydrating and has gentle ingredients. There's no fragrance and it's not irritating at all. I used to use Mentholatum's lemon lip balm for a long time, but that one only had a nice scent without long-lasting moisture. I stumbled upon this product while searching for lip balms, and after trying it, I'm extremely satisfied. It's very moisturizing and affordable. I especially love how mild the ingredients are and how long the hydration lasts. As moisturizing as it is, it's a bit soft, which makes it slightly inconvenient to apply, especially on my lips that are dry even in summer. It's a shame that the quantity is small. I don't have any specific tips, but when my lips are extremely dry, I apply multiple layers. Although this is a lip balm, I also use it on particularly dry and flaky areas of my face. The ingredients are so gentle that I've been using it consistently without any issues. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinMay 20, 2018
I really liked that the scent and ingredients weren't irritating when I applied it! The fragrance was fresh but not overpowering, and the hydration was decent. I slathered it on generously in the evening, and when I gently massaged it while washing my face in the morning, it effectively removed dead skin cells. It was way too... greasy... Also, it melted and froze easily, making it inconvenient to use during winter. Instead of applying it after cleansing in the evening, think of it as slathering on a thick layer. Then, when you wake up in the morning, gently massage it - the dead skin cell removal is amazing! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJan 28, 2018
I think I bought two when there was a buy-one-get-one-free deal. It felt a bit rich, you could say. It gave a good sense of hydration. The scent was nice. This might just be me, but they were too soft. One of them crumbled and broke, so I had to throw it away. I can't recommend this product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 20, 2018
It has just the right amount of hydration and great ingredients! I've been using it without knowing much about it since I received it as a gift, but it doesn't feel heavy on the lips and seems just right. It seems to melt easily. It's already separating and moving around in the container. And there's a slight glue-like scent, haha! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 12, 2018
I received this as a gratis item and checked its ingredients on Hwahae before using. The scent isn't overpowering, and its hydration power is quite decent. When exposed to warm temperatures, the formula softens and breaks easily while applying. It's challenging to maintain the stick form for prolonged use during application. After it broke twice during use, I completely crushed the remaining product and transferred it to an empty container. It's a bit inconvenient to apply with fingers, but... - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 2, 2018
The hydration is great! It applies a bit thick with some weight to it. There's barely any scent, so it's not off-putting. It looks like a white lipstick. While the moisturizing power isn't bad, that's about the only standout feature. I'm a big fan of other Mentholatum products though! Product-wise, the hydration isn't bad, but the lipstick melts depending on the temperature. It crumbles while applying. Because of this, it's better to use it at home rather than carrying it around. Unfortunately, this is a major drawback.
