It's like something a queen bee character from a late 90s/early 2000s teen movie would pull out of her pink bag. The lid decoration, which seems to simply showcase the color, opens to reveal a generous amount of the actual product inside. I've tried to adjust the color as accurately as possible in the photo. The shade has a bit more white undertone to it. For me, white undertones + warm tones don't work well. I'm not sure if it's as deep as a 'deep autumn' undertone.
ConsPutting the color aside, I personally don't like products that are neither shimmery nor matte nor glossy, but glide on like butter. What's the point of a lip product that's so vulnerable to moisture? If it gets wet with saliva, the product clumps together, looking patchy and emphasizing dead skin cells. It really accentuates fine lines and dry patches. The texture is exactly like a cream blush. If you're determined to use it somehow, you have to pat it on gently. With some effort, it's not completely unusable, but it's definitely not worth buying. If you happen to have it or if there's a color in this line you've been dreaming of, refer to the tips section for usage advice.
TipIt works somewhat better as a blush. Try mixing it with sunscreen, foundation, or makeup base to use as a blush. For the color, mix and check with a black and white filter - it should blend seamlessly with your hand color. When mixed with chemical sunscreen, it gives a watercolor-like effect. With mineral sunscreen, it creates a soft, bright finish. + If you apply it over Burt's Bees lip balm, which dries down to an almost glossless, lip primer-like finish, you can use it as a lip color by gently patting it on. This might work with other lip primers too. The photo has been adjusted to show the most accurate real-life color possible.
