I use this product when I want to take away the matte finish of my existing lipstick and create a more hydrated, dewy look.

Using just the oil alone doesn't provide very defined color.
The longevity also seems a bit lower, so I need to reapply it more frequently.

I'm using this oil as a top coat over my lipstick.
Since my lips are dry, when I use matte lipstick, it tends to crack. But applying this oil helps improve the color payoff of my existing lipstick and makes my lips feel more moisturized, preventing them from drying out.
It gives a subtle, effortless look.

To be honest, the lip oil is a bit pricey for what it is... But well, it's a MAC product, so I guess that's expected. 😌
Another disappointing aspect was that the color payoff wasn't that strong. However, I used it by applying a thick layer of lipstick first and then lightly dabbing the lip oil on top whenever my lips felt dry, so the lack of color didn't bother me much. Even with the darkest shade I tried, the result was just a subtle glow.
If you're looking to use this lip oil alone, the color might be too sheer for your liking.

Compared to the lip oil products I used before, this one feels much less sticky, and it gives a fluffy feeling after just a short time.
Also, just a light dab is enough to have an amazing effect on exfoliating the lips. I have severe lip peeling and a habit of biting my lips, so I've tried several lip oil products, and this one seems to be the cleanest and most moisturizing.


If you apply it before bed, your lips will look like cherries in the morning - it's magical! 😆 And if you spread a thin layer on your lips before applying, it doesn't emphasize flaky skin at all!!!!
