It's really amazing! The color just keeps building up when you apply it. It's definitely an 'in' item - all the kids are amazed by it!
The scent is vanilla, but I think it might be divisive. Also, it's quite glossy, so it might feel a bit sticky.
Applying an extra layer would also look nice.

The representative of these color-changing lip glosses that react to such pH would be Givenchy. It was also available from Bourjois, and the late-comer Canmake also released one. However, the common point among these three is that they are not well-known in our country... They were famous... among those who used them in the past ㅜㅜ In Japan, people endlessly apply gloss after gloss for the Fruutto shita lip powder, but in Korea, gloss is for a minority of otaku, and it has been out of trend for millions of years. As a newbie, I saw the intense marketing of Japanese YouTuber Sekine Risa and belatedly wanted to get those glosses... but unless I have a duty-free chance, they are too expensive, or discontinued domestically, so I ended up purchasing the most accessible and available one, The Saem. Of course, there have been many tint balms from brands like Anna Sui and Missha, but tint balms couldn't satisfy the heart of someone who is into glosses. The overall reviews of The Saem's gloss line were better than expected. The affordable price range and decent quality were appreciated, as the trend is to discontinue glosses altogether. The sticky feeling is less, and the color payoff is quite vivid. A YouTuber mentioned that these pH-reactive lips don't show the color as strongly, but mine came out in a very vibrant azalea pink. Even though I know the pH is acidic, I have no idea about the pH level of my own lips... If the color doesn't seem to show up enough, just wait for about 5 minutes, and it will gradually build up.
And I realized that I am a person who doesn't suit autumnal muted tones. If it had suited me well, I would have stocked up on 3 of them and given a 5-star review, but it just didn't work for me... If I had bought the Givenchy one in this situation, I would have really regretted it. Now that I think about it, the Innisfree Magic Tint Balm also didn't suit me... The greed of humans knows no bounds, and we all make the same mistakes, don't we? As expected, the downside of a gloss is the transfer. For those who are used to water tints and ink tints, the transfer might be quite inconvenient. Over time, the glossiness seems to fade, and as you reapply, the color gets deeper and deeper. Perhaps because of my personal coloring and the fact that bold lips don't suit my features, it just looked worse and worse on me. It does make me wonder if the ultimate fate of glosses is to just become transparent.
Those who use it well, use it well. The product itself is not bad. Personally, I'm grateful to The Saem for providing so many gloss options... Apieu was also great when they were releasing the popular blue and black glosses, and provided lip glitters, but they discontinued all their existing tube glosses, so as someone who relied on those, The Saem is the only drugstore brand I can trust for non-shimmer glosses... Nature Republic also seems to have gotten rid of most of their non-shimmer glosses, I wish they hadn't done that.
