But with so much product, it's actually not helpful at all when it comes to disposing and recycling.
ConsI've been using Banila Co's cleansing balm for a long time, but wanted to try something different. After searching, I discovered this product and bought it on Coupang. As mentioned in the Coupang reviews, it's not a balm texture but a creamy one. Whether you slather it on, massage it for a long time, or rinse it off extensively, you're left with an artificial scent and a burning sensation on your face. It doesn't properly remove long-wearing foundation (I use Estée Lauder Double Wear). Even after cleansing with this, I feel the need to do a second cleanse. My skin type is oily and acne-prone. After using it daily for about a week, I developed several deep, hard pimples with red surfaces that I didn't have before. So I checked the ingredient analysis on the Hwahae app. It's the first time I've looked into ingredients on my own while using cosmetics. There's a reason why this large-volume product is so cheap... I should blame my past self for buying this product. Out of 20 cautionary items, 5 are present in this product. These 5 ingredients are highly likely to cause wrinkles, dark spots, blemishes, rashes, and pigmentation. There's even an ingredient with an EWG hazard rating of 9. For reference, ratings of 6 and above are considered hazardous. 1. Fragrance (sweetener) ☆8 2. Phenoxyethanol (preservative, fragrance) 3. Methylparaben (preservative, fragrance) 4. DMDM Hydantoin (preservative) - Releases formaldehyde/causes contact dermatitis 5. Propylparaben (preservative, fragrance) - Causes dark spots, wrinkles, allergies, contact dermatitis ☆9 On the Hwahae app, there's only an ingredient analysis but no reviews. Please use this information as a reference. As for me, I'm throwing away the 1/4 I've used and going back to my original product.
