Apply it in a long stroke on the inside of your lower lip, then press your lips together twice. It spreads evenly and dries quickly. You can also use a cotton swab to spread it out.

You need a technique when applying. If you try to spread too much at once, it can clump and absorb unevenly, leaving some areas thicker. I had to remove and reapply when I lacked the technique. It can pill like dead skin cells too. If you have a lot of flaky skin, it can look very dry once it sets. It's best to exfoliate before application. Sometimes the inner part would come off when I applied lip gloss on top.

I bought this because I love the color. It's my usual pine tree vibe! It seems perfect for cool or mute tones. It's an honest deep pink with a hint of purple, like a rich red bean soup color. The staying power is great. It absorbs instantly, which might feel a bit intense at first, but you get used to it as you keep applying.
