I liked how it had a matte finish. My base skincare routine is quite hydrating, so this balanced it out nicely. I used it during the changing seasons, and while it felt slightly drying, I preferred it to having my hair stick to my face from excess moisture. It only settled into a couple of fine lines around my mouth. If you prep your skin well, it won't cause dehydration. Since I use concealer for coverage anyway, this provides a natural brightening effect. First off, it feels like you're applying actual powder, probably because it's a powder pact. The adherence to the skin isn't great. This cushion's main purposes seem to be a powdery finish and subtle brightening. I bought it without expecting much coverage, but the lack of adherence is disappointing. Apply it with gentle patting motions (too light, and it won't adhere at all and will emphasize pores). The coverage isn't impressive. The finish looks like countless powder particles sitting on your face (only noticeable upon very close inspection). It's not really for a full face of makeup, but it's fine for those days when you can't be bothered with a full routine. I'm using it up because it's not bad enough to toss, but I'm on the fence about repurchasing due to the poor adherence.
