  When combined with lip balm, my lip blemishes would show through, making it look uneven and messy, so the lipstick couldn't perform its role properly. This product, in comparison, has a slightly thicker and softer, comforting weight that helps tamp down the shiny effect of the lip balm and somewhat conceal the lip cracks caused by my habit of picking at them. And since I still need lip balm in the fall, this works well with it, being less irritating on my already dry lips. I can reapply it often as a clean, daily lip product that pairs nicely with the lip balm.

  When applying the product directly to the lips, it builds up slightly thicker. When rubbing it in with my fingertips, it applies with a rich, melted chocolate-like sensorial experience. On the lips, it has an opaque, hazy texture, almost like a mineral sunscreen. So the adhesion isn't a super thin, magnetic-like cling. But after blotting it on a tissue, the heavy, thick feeling goes away. It's not a trendy or special color, just a versatile daily shade. I have less than 7 lipsticks, and 2 similar colors already.
