The Espoir foundation has such a beautiful color range! It has a slight pink undertone that really brings life to your complexion, making your skin look fresh and radiant. As someone with dry skin, I found the Be Silk formula a bit disappointing as it tended to emphasize my skin's dryness. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedMay 11, 2022
The pink base effectively conceals yellowish skin tones, and I loved that it doesn't darken much over time. It can cause deep dryness, and when applied in winter, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells around the U-zone. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedFeb 10, 2021
I have combination skin. The adherence and application are both excellent. However, the coverage isn't perfect in one go. For better coverage, I recommend applying two thin layers. When my skin is a bit dry, it occasionally sits on top of the skin. This can be avoided with a thorough skincare routine beforehand, but personally, I experienced some slight pilling at times. - al*******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 15, 2020
The texture is on the thinner side, so it initially applies with a nice moisturizing feel! While it's not particularly high coverage, it gives a natural, skin-perfecting effect. If you're not looking for heavy coverage, this product is just perfect. As time passes, it fades slightly without any darkening. Personally, I prefer this to products that darken throughout the day. The coverage isn't great. It only provides a slight skin-perfecting effect. When pumping the product, the nozzle tends to get messy easily. As someone who's particular about this, I find myself wiping it clean with a tissue every time, which can be a bit of a hassle. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 23, 2020
Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin ✓ Acne scars ✓ Large pores ✓ Shade 21 Great that Ivory comes in two types (pink base and yellow base) Slightly runny texture and incredibly lightweight Moisturizing yet leaves a matte finish Impressive coverage for such a light formula Gives a natural glow, making skin look absolutely beautiful Slight darkening (though not severe) Can look patchy on extremely dry skin days Pore coverage isn't perfect, concealer is a must Shade runs lighter than expected How to choose between Ivory P and Y: If your skin has yellow undertones, go for P (pink base). If you have redness, choose Y (yellow base). - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedApr 4, 2020
The color was beautiful, and even as it faded, it looked pretty. It's a decent foundation that you can use comfortably without any issues. There's not really anything disappointing about it, except maybe the scent isn't great? I found that applying it with a brush works best. - ru*********Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 2, 2020
Texture: It's not quite silk-like matte, but it's not desert-dry either. It sits perfectly between semi-matte and matte! If you dampen your puff or use a brush, you can achieve a beautiful glow for a stunning complexion. Light Application: I was surprised by how thinly it applies, despite expecting it to be thick. However, the trade-off for the light application is lower coverage. Longevity: It truly lasts all day without touch-ups! Apart from some oil breakthrough, which can be easily fixed with a quick pat of powder or compact, it stays flawless. No Darkening: This foundation genuinely doesn't darken throughout the day. When I was in school, I'd apply it at 8 AM and it would still look fresh at 9-10 PM, even without midday touch-ups! Graceful Wear: It wears beautifully. Instead of breaking up into clumps or disappearing completely, it allows a bit of natural oils to come through, resulting in an elegant, lived-in look. Coverage: Due to its light application, it falls a bit short in concealing blemishes or scars. To compensate, I always make sure to use concealer on any imperfections before applying this foundation. For reference, I have a fair complexion, around shade 17-19. Remember to shake the foundation well before use. As it's a liquid foundation, it might not be the most convenient for on-the-go touch-ups. However, Vely Vely has recently launched a cushion version of Bisilk, which could be perfect for carrying in your bag! - ba**********Combination SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMar 28, 2020
No puffiness and provides hydration, great for winter use. Applies thinly for a natural look. Gives a radiant appearance. The formula is difficult to apply thickly, so it doesn't cover blemishes well. Recommended for those with few skin blemishes or who want light complexion correction. It would work very well if used with a separate concealer. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 27, 2020
First off, I highly recommend this to those with oily skin like mine! My skin is so oily that I usually get greasy even while applying makeup, but on days I use this foundation, I almost forget I have oily skin. Even when it starts to wear off, it fades beautifully, leaving my complexion with a lovely glow! When I tried to use an orange blush with this foundation, it made my face look a bit sallow. I found that applying it with a damp beauty sponge works best for me! - ja*******Combination SkinRecommendedMar 26, 2020
The skin finish is so beautiful and velvety smooth. The way it wears off is genuinely gorgeous. The coverage seems to be medium to high. If I had to pick something, it might be that due to its matte finish, it can occasionally look a bit patchy on dry skin.
