I've been using this product based on a recommendation. I started using it because my nails had vertical ridges and my toenails were prone to chipping. I definitely feel that my nails have more shine and are becoming healthier when I use this compared to when I don't.
Cons
The brush type may be better for applying the product evenly and thoroughly. It takes a bit of time for the product to fully dry.
Tip
Since absorption is a bit slow, it helps to gently pat the product after about 10 minutes to aid in absorption.
