ConsSo far, I haven't experienced any issues using it. There's a bit of staining, but it's just the right amount, which I actually like.

It's such a famous product, and after trying it, I totally get why it's so popular. 1. Color: It's a subtle red shade that would suit most people. Although it's a lip balm, the color payoff is quite good, giving you a natural, healthy-looking flush. I apply it every day before work. (The color is actually more red than in the photo.) 2. Application: Being a lip balm, it glides on smoothly and feels moisturizing. It doesn't emphasize dead skin cells much, so I felt comfortable applying it even on days when my lips weren't in the best condition. 3. Packaging: The holographic design with its reflective sheen is really pretty. MAC's bullet-shaped design always looks so sleek and beautiful.
ConsBeing a lip balm, it doesn't have great staying power. It does leave a slight stain, but think of it more as a tinted lip balm. I've used Isoi lip balm before, and I felt this one was less moisturizing and glossy compared to Isoi.

It's just right when applied to bare lips, not too overwhelming. The absorbs well and keeps your lips hydrated, so even those with dry lips can use it comfortably!
ConsWhile the beautiful staining effect could be considered a plus, it's a bit challenging to remove completely, requiring thorough cleansing.

The pigmentation is great, so it has good staying power. I also like that the case is sturdy.
ConsThe downside is that because of its strong pigmentation, it can be a bit tricky to reapply. For a lip balm, its hydration isn't the best. Also, the cap is quite stiff, making it hard to open. On the bright side, this sturdiness means it won't accidentally open in your purse.

Failure point #1: Ambiguous positioning. It's not moisturizing enough for a balm, and as a creamy lipstick, both color selection and single-swipe pigmentation are weak. It's neither a tinted balm nor a hydrating lipstick - just something in between. Failure point #2: Is this really a lip balm? The hydration is poor, so reapplying turns your lips into a true hot pink... plus it stains. Dead skin cells also increase. [After finishing my Bobbi Brown lip balm] My second tinted lip balm purchase. After debating between Dior, NARS, and MAC, I went for the most affordable option - the MAC Tendertalk Lip Balm. [The packaging] Hmm... not particularly attractive. I think I would have preferred if they kept the original bullet design. I tend to like modern, simple cases over flashy ones. [The color] Compared to Bobbi Brown's Bare Raspberry, this has a stronger pink tone. With one swipe, it gives just a hint of pink. +The more you apply, the more intense pink it becomes, and it also stains. [Other aspects] It's less moisturizing but firmer in texture than the Bobbi Brown. The Bobbi Brown lip balm tends to smudge and crumble, but this one seems less likely to do so. It feels less hydrating on the lips though.
Cons[Update - Hydration] What's this? It's barely more moisturizing than licking your lips... The hydration doesn't last long either, which is disappointing. Isn't this just a lightly tinted lipstick rather than a balm? It glides on smoothly if your lips are already well-moisturized in the morning, but when reapplying after brushing teeth in the afternoon - where's the moisture? Let's not call this a lip balm.. [Too much staining] The more you use it, the worse your lip condition gets... Downgrading to 2 stars... Continued use leads to more dead skin cells, it doesn't wash off easily, and your lips end up looking like you have cheilitis with flaky skin everywhere. Got this at Lotte Department Store for 23,000 won with various discounts applied. Was happy to receive it via delivery for just 23k.
TipGreat for lip care, applying balm every hour of every day. Especially in these COVID times, it's nice to have a tinted balm under your mask! Top: Bobbi Brown lip balm, Bottom: MAC Tendertalk lip balm Bobbi Brown is softer and smoother (more moisturizing but looks oilier) 1. YSL Volupté Shine 82 Orange Crepe: This is a hydrating lipstick. Great color payoff and very moisturizing. Can look a bit much sometimes. The color appears quite different depending on your lip condition that day. Typical of YSL, I guess. Some days it has a pink tint, other days it looks more orange. 2. Bobbi Brown Raspberry shade: Applies smoothly and is moisturizing, but smudges easily and gets used up quickly. Compared to other products, they often have 1+1 promotions, so I plan to buy it then. 3. MAC Tendertalk Play With Me: Bought it regardless of blog reviews, didn't care much about the color payoff. The pigmentation is indeed like a regular lip balm with just a hint of color. It's firm and doesn't glide on as smoothly. 4. YSL Volupté Plump-In-Color 4: Has a slight tingling sensation and again, great color payoff.
