Just because the MAC number goes up, it doesn't necessarily mean it gets darker.
It's true that the colors get darker from NC30 to 35 to 38 to 40, but there are also colors in between that have different tones, and some are even brighter than 30 (like 37).
If the color doesn't suit you, you can mix it with pink-toned shades to make it a more natural tone.
Mixing it with Double Wear is the best combination.

 I think everyone can relate to this, but as someone with dry skin, I find that applying it with my body temperature works better for me than using a pump. It really varies from person to person.
However, I've found that mixing it with a bit of oil-based or gel-type cream makes it much easier to apply. When the color seems unnatural, I also mix it with a lighter and more luminous BB cream to adjust the tone.

While the coverage is great, the formula is quite heavy and can feel a bit thick on the skin. You may not be able to achieve the same transparent, skin-like finish or fresh, lightweight feel that you'd get from products like MAC's Mineralize or Next to Nothing. Of course, for those who need the extra coverage, this may not be an issue. But if you're looking for a more natural, 'your skin but better' look, it might be a bit challenging.

I've tried many different MAC foundations, and each one has its own advantages. However, the Studio Fix Fluid stands out for its excellent longevity and coverage. The shade range is also very diverse, so it's suitable not only for people with darker skin like me, but also for those who are tanned. As someone with very oily skin, I often find that foundations tend to break down easily. But when I use the Studio Fix Fluid along with the Porefessional and NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, it creates an incredibly long-lasting and flawless base.
