There's a significant tingling sensation when you rub it in. The physical sensation really amplifies the expectation that it's doing something good. I didn't experience any blemishes. I have sensitive, slightly acne-prone skin, and after applying and massaging, there was some redness and tingling. Also, each dose is individually packaged, so you can open a new one for each use, which is great for hygiene. Hmm... absolutely no effect. I bought it trusting the famous home shopping host, but it just reinforced that home shopping is just home shopping after all. Definitely won't repurchase. I bought the package deal and used both the microneedle essence and the set cream. If I remember correctly, the cream caused a few blemishes, and its hydration wasn't particularly good. I recall waking up to find all the moisture had evaporated overnight. According to the TV and usage instructions, you're not supposed to rub it in. Instead, you should gently press it onto problem areas to allow the microneedles to penetrate. Take your time and massage by pressing firmly and slowly.
