It absorbs thinly while adhering well to the skin. The finish is so powdery that you don't need to apply additional powder. It tends to pill noticeably when applied over sunscreen. Since it's a matte type, you need to ensure your skin is well-hydrated in the earlier skincare steps. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopic SkinMay 15, 2020
The glow is beautiful, it applies lightly, and the skin looks truly gorgeous. Those who prioritize coverage might find it disappointing. It's primarily designed for a luminous finish and light application, so I recommend it for people confident in their skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinNov 27, 2019
It was really great for my dry skin. It left my skin feeling hydrated, and the pearl particles gave me a beautiful glow. There was absolutely no coverage, and there were so many shimmer particles that everything - my hands and all - seemed to sparkle... When used with a highly moisturizing skin emulsion, it tends to pill. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedJul 7, 2019
I loved how it absorbed well with a thin, hydrating layer. It felt light and comfortable on my skin. While it felt moisturizing when first applied, I noticed some pilling as time passed. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 25, 2019
- The skin looks light and natural - Thanks to the fine pearl particles, you can achieve a glowing complexion without using a highlighter - Good coverage for blackheads and whiteheads - After about 3 weeks of use, my pores on the cheeks became enlarged - Blemishes started appearing not only in acne-prone areas like the forehead and chin, but also in areas that rarely broke out before, such as the cheeks and around the eyes - Even considering it's a glossy foundation, it's excessively sticky - It's not water-resistant - It tends to come off easily around the nose area - The coverage is extremely low, failing to conceal hyperpigmentation - The pore coverage is disappointingly inadequate - The longevity is so poor that most of the makeup had broken down after just 3 hours out, making powder application a must The quality is terribly low compared to its price. Unless you're wealthy enough to use banknotes as napkins or a collector with a separate display case for foundations, I wouldn't particularly recommend this product. - rk******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinJan 3, 2019
I bought this product while searching for a moisturizing foundation, just before my trip. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now while traveling. My skin tends to be on the dry side, sometimes extremely dry depending on the season, and I'm also a bit sensitive. My first impression was quite good. I like moisturizing products, but I'm not a fan of overly watery ones. This one leaves a nice, slightly powdery finish after application, which I appreciate. As for coverage, it provides medium to high coverage with two or more layers. However, I don't usually focus on coverage when choosing foundations, so I'm not the best judge. Overall, this foundation's strengths seem to be its balanced hydration and finish. I'm giving it 3 stars because since I started using this, I've been experiencing the worst blemishes of my life. However, I'm not sure if it's because of this product, or the new 'Origins Mega Mushroom Toner' I just started using, or if it's due to my disrupted biorhythm from traveling. I checked the ingredients on Hwahae, and they seem less favorable compared to my previous foundation, so I'm suspecting this might be the culprit. But I can't be 100% certain about this. The blemishes appear to be mostly clogged pores and small pimples, which is why I'm leaning towards blaming the foundation. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 2, 2018
The adherence of this product is fantastic! I love that it applies beautifully just by patting it on with your fingers, without needing a separate brush or sponge. It's so convenient for quick and easy application. Unfortunately, the staying power is really disappointing... It feels like it starts breaking down after just three hours. Also, the coverage is quite light, so I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking for more substantial coverage. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 23, 2018
I loved how moisturizing and natural it felt. It's fine to apply it by just spreading it with your hands. I was a bit disappointed that it seemed to have some shimmer. As time passes, it tends to get oily. It's better to use a dry sponge rather than a damp one for application. - st*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedNov 2, 2018
It applies incredibly thinly. This product saved me when the area around my mouth suddenly turned white and no amount of touch-ups with my regular cushion could fix it! I've tested almost every foundation at Sephora, and while not perfect, the Shiseido Synchro Skin line gently smooths out uneven skin texture. It gives a clear, transparent feeling as if you've just applied skincare, but still offers natural coverage, making it a versatile foundation. Perhaps due to the oil layer, after wearing it for a while, it emits a beautiful glow... Another big advantage is how gracefully it wears throughout the day! The ingredients aren't particularly great, and while it lightly and naturally covers blemishes and dead skin cells, there's a risk of developing more serious skin issues... Because of this, I can't use it frequently on a daily basis. I think it might be a good foundation for those with less sensitive skin. I found that using this product alongside a high-coverage foundation helped balance out the pros and cons. I recommend giving it a good shake before use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinOct 13, 2018
The water-like texture feels soft and hydrating on the skin. I'm satisfied with its coverage and it has good staying power too. In the past, my makeup would almost completely disappear by afternoon, but with this foundation, it's still holding up decently later in the day. There are subtle shimmer particles... I didn't notice during testing, and the sales assistant didn't mention it either, so I only found out after purchasing. Since my skin isn't exactly porcelain-like, applying too much makes my skin look worse due to the shimmer. I bought a light shade, but it's actually a bit dark. I'm currently using it mixed with a gentle brightening moisturizer (Lancre tube tone-up cream), Shiseido foundation, and a small amount of another light-colored foundation I had left to improve its shortcomings (shimmer, dark color).
