As someone with atopic dermatitis, harsh cleansers usually trigger flare-ups immediately. However, I've been using this product for years without any skin issues. It's gentle yet effective, removing makeup thoroughly while being kind to my sensitive skin. The scent is really something I can't get used to, no matter how long I've been using it. It smells more like laundry soap than a cosmetic product, which is quite off-putting. - ba*******Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 29, 2019
It effectively removes makeup and is quite gentle on the skin. Using about three to four pumps is just right. The fragrance is a bit strong, so you might notice the scent lingering on your face after cleansing. - 79*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedOct 28, 2019
This is truly my holy grail! When I cleanse with this oil and rinse with water, I can see not only blackheads but even whiteheads coming out from my nose. I've tried all the big names like Shu Uemura, Bobbi Brown, Hera, and more, but I've settled on this one! I've lost count of how many bottles I've gone through. As someone else mentioned above, if you ignore the price, it's my absolute favorite. When I first used Shu Uemura, it felt a bit heavy. So when Bobbi Brown came out, I switched and found it lighter and fresher than Shu Uemura. But this one? It's a whole new world! The only downside is the price... But the product is so good that I find myself opening my wallet despite the cost. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 4, 2019
I like that the scent isn't too strong. Some products have an overpowering artificial fragrance. This one feels gentle and leaves my skin hydrated after use. The price might be an issue, but compared to other products, I appreciate that it doesn't leave any residue behind after use. This product works even better when mixed with other scrubs. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedJan 20, 2019
I think this is the best among cleansing oils. Before using La Mer's cleansing oil, I tried products from Aesop and Bobbi Brown. Back then, after removing eye makeup with cleansing oil, my vision would always be blurry. But since switching to La Mer's cleansing oil, that haziness after washing has disappeared. It feels like it might be less harmful to the eyes. The reason I prefer La Mer products is usually for their signature scent, but the fragrance of this cleansing oil is a bit unique... It smells somewhat like laundry soap... If you gently roll it on your nose, it prevents blackheads from building up and leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean. After cleansing, your skin feels soft to the touch. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 8, 2019
With just two pumps, it gently removes all makeup. It's fragrance-free and has a slightly thin consistency, making it smooth for rolling. I personally follow up with a light second cleanse, but those with dry skin might find a water rinse sufficient for a thorough cleanse. There's a pearlescent effect, though I'm not sure which ingredient causes it. The price isn't exactly budget-friendly, but I'm willing to try the Witch Factory oil cleanser once and compare before considering a repurchase. I've been using it for quite a while now, applying just two pumps in the evening routine. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinDec 8, 2017
I've tried many cleansing oils, but none have suited me as well as this one. It removes makeup gently yet effectively, and its cleansing effectiveness is truly impressive. The scent is pleasant too. Best of all, it leaves my skin with zero deep dryness. I've repurchased it three times now! For me, the only downside is the price. It's quite expensive, with no other drawbacks to speak of. For best results, apply the oil first and massage it in. Then, add a little water and continue massaging. You'll notice it turning white as it emulsifies, which helps remove sebum even more effectively.
