It applies evenly and thoroughly, seems to provide good sun protection, and doesn't cause any irritation, which is great. It has a rich texture. Personally, as I have dry skin, I found this even more beneficial. However, those with oily skin might prefer a different product. There's also a slight white cast, but since I have a darker complexion, I actually liked this aspect!
ConsThe rich texture and the presence of a white cast might be polarizing factors depending on the user's skin type.

Cons1. The oil content is excessively high. It's so greasy that you'll wonder if it's even supposed to be this oily. And sure enough... blemishes appeared. 2. The white cast is extremely severe. It's impossible to apply the recommended amount. Even if you apply just a tiny bit, someone 50 meters away can tell you're wearing sunscreen.
TipTry something else... Especially not recommended for oily or combination dehydrated skin

But this cream is absolutely perfect for me.
ConsAs many have mentioned, there's a white cast that takes time to absorb, requiring a lot of patting. It also leaves a slightly rich feeling on the skin. This might be a love-it-or-hate-it product. It would probably work well in winter.

I especially love that it's fragrance-free. I've never experienced any blemishes while using this product, so it seems suitable even for super sensitive skin.
ConsPersonally, I prefer a slight white cast of about 0.5, but this product has a more noticeable white cast of around 1.5, which is a bit disappointing. It doesn't control oil well, so those with oily skin might find it sticky during summer.

ConsFor combination dehydrated skin, it's too rich, causing oiliness in the T-zone and leading to small bumps

I've been using it consistently since it came out... Used over 5 bottles! - As someone who experiences severe eye irritation from chemical sunscreens, I only use mineral ones. This causes absolutely no eye irritation. - There's a slight white cast, and it feels moisturizing. After a while, it gives a slight glow/oiliness. - It's gentle enough for daily use without causing any blemishes or irritation!
Cons- Since I have oily skin, it gets a bit greasy after some time. - However, that's better than getting dry and flaky! - Makeup tends to pill over this sunscreen (though this happens with all sunscreens for me, so I only wear sunscreen when I'm not wearing makeup).
Tip- Highly recommended for someone like me who doesn't wear makeup often! - If you're not wearing makeup, applying this sunscreen followed by a light dusting of oil-control powder gives a subtle, flawless base makeup effect due to the slight white cast! I wear just this sunscreen to work every day. It doesn't pill even under a mask - it's a holy grail product!

It absorbs smoothly and feels gentle on the skin.
ConsThe oiliness is way too intense. Not only does it leave a white cast, but the excessive richness makes it incredibly uncomfortable to wear. I wonder how anyone manages to use this kind of sunscreen these days...

In my early 20s, I foolishly skipped sunscreen and basic skincare, thinking I was young and invincible. That resulted in an acne explosion that lasted about 5 years. After that wake-up call, I decided to take care of my skin. I've been using this sunscreen consistently for years, repurchasing every 6 months. (Of course, for serious skin issues, you should see a dermatologist - skincare products alone can't fix everything.) I chose this because it seemed tailored for acne-prone skin. Here's why I've stuck with the Dr. Troub Bio Repair Sunscreen: 1. It doesn't irritate my eyes. Other brands I've tried make my eyes sting, probably due to fragrances. This one causes zero eye irritation. 2. It subtly brightens my skin. While it's not a cover-up product and won't hide acne scars, the slight white cast from the mineral filters actually helps even out my skin tone. My face tends to be darker than my body due to my previous neglect, but this sunscreen helps balance things out. 3. It doesn't cause blemishes. In my experience, as long as I watch my diet (avoiding excessive saturated fats), I don't break out. Since I use this sunscreen almost daily (except when I'm staying in), and don't get acne from it, I don't believe it's causing any skin issues. 4. Great value for money. One tube lasts exactly 6 months with near-daily use. The price is just right - I really hope it doesn't go up! 5. If you have to wear sunscreen, wear a good one! They say skipping sunscreen leads to rapid aging. As someone who experienced sudden skin deterioration (acne/redness) in my early 20s from believing in my 'natural powers' and using no skincare, I strongly urge everyone to use sunscreen.
Cons1. It can be slightly drying. It's best to hydrate and moisturize well before applying this sunscreen. 2. It has an oily texture that might make your skin look shiny. This could be seen as a healthy glow, or less favorably, as sweat or excess oil.
TipSqueeze out enough sunscreen for your entire face. Dot it on your forehead, cheeks, chin, and nose. Then gently pat it in to blend. Don't forget to apply some to your neck as well.

My current skin concerns include acne scars, enlarged pores, and mild redness. The biggest advantage of this product is that it's non-irritating and applies smoothly. It feels like you're layering on an extra coat of rich cream. There's a slight white cast, which might be good for those looking for a subtle brightening effect. It's also fragrance-free, which is perfect if you prefer unscented products.
ConsFor me, it's too rich. I have combination dehydrated skin, so I focus on building a solid skincare routine. After toner, I skip emulsion and apply a couple of serums depending on my skin's condition, followed by a cream. Even though I finish with a light layer, this sunscreen's smooth application becomes both a pro and a con. It maintains its moisturizing, oily texture even after application. Despite thorough cleansing, I'm not sure if it's due to incomplete removal or its rich texture, but I keep getting tiny bumps... I checked to see if it contains stearic acid, thinking that might be the cause, but it doesn't.
TipI'd recommend this to anyone looking for a gentle sunscreen that leaves a dewy finish with a slight brightening effect from the white cast.

The lightweight texture makes it easy to apply.
ConsIt's extremely oily and leaves a greasy shine. The white cast is so severe it makes you look ghostly. The cream doesn't absorb into the skin at all. When you try to rub it in, strange white residue appears.
