It absorbs into the skin gently without causing any irritation. I'm very satisfied as it seems to have a brightening effect after use. I can't think of any downsides. It just feels great overall. - qh******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedOct 3, 2019
I love how easy it is to exfoliate and remove dead skin cells with this product! It's so gentle, which makes it even better. For daily use... hmm... I don't think I can use it because my face feels too tingly. It's gentle, but it's probably not suitable for everyday use. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinMay 26, 2019
The only positive thing is that it removes makeup well. But honestly, that's it. There's absolutely nothing else good about this product. First off, the smell. It's so bad you can't even breathe through your nose while washing your face. I tried it because it was supposed to be good for blemishes, but guess what? It completely wrecked my skin. My skin isn't usually sensitive, but this stuff destroyed it, especially my forehead. And all this damage happened in just one week of use. Seriously, don't buy this. Just don't buy it, period. - al*****Dry SkinRecommendedJan 3, 2019
It's a fine-foam cleanser with exfoliating properties, similar to a gommage It's too harsh for daily use. Better to use it as a secondary cleanser Adjust the frequency of use based on your skin type - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 18, 2018
As I was looking for a gentle exfoliating cleanser, this product seems to be less irritating to the skin, which is exactly what I wanted. The instructions say to roll the product after bubbles form 1 minute after application, but the bubbles don't really appear. The usage method is a bit tricky! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 8, 2018
The rolling sensation after pumping was gentler compared to other exfoliants, with a pleasant texture. It seemed mild, which I appreciated. After rolling, there didn't seem to be much lasting effect. It felt too gentle, so I didn't really get the sense of effective exfoliation. - cp***Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMay 13, 2018
As expected from a gommage cleanser, it exfoliates like it's peeling off dead skin cells. I like that it doesn't have granules, allowing for a gentle exfoliation. However, after using it, I don't strongly feel that my skin is noticeably smoother. When you first apply it, bubbles do form, but it's not quite like a bubble pack. The foam appears instantly, so you need to be lightning-fast to apply it evenly across your face! While it's called a cleanser, it functions more as an exfoliator. The price is a bit... even though it's a 1+1 deal, it's still quite expensive. I couldn't really feel a significant exfoliating effect. Next time, I might try a grain enzyme cleanser for exfoliation and cleansing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 29, 2018
Unlike other products that feel like they're scraping off dead skin cells, this gommage cleanser seems to melt them away without irritation. It's perfect for those worried about blemishes flaring up due to harsh exfoliation. As someone with sensitive skin, I've found it incredibly helpful! After cleansing, my skin feels so smooth, making the rest of my skincare routine a breeze! It's not a foam-based cleanser, so it might not feel sufficient as a standalone cleansing product. However, when it comes to managing dead skin cells and excess oil, it's absolutely top-notch! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinMar 9, 2018
It's great! After using it, you can really feel your skin becoming moisturized and smooth. There's something oddly satisfying about the bubbles forming and clumping when you rub it in. I also love how gentle it is on the skin. Definitely worth repurchasing! I'll be buying it again when I run out. My usual routine involves washing my face while I leave hair treatment in for 10 minutes after shampooing in the evening. With this product, I can't follow my normal routine because it's impossible to keep water off my face. I only do a water cleanse in the morning, and I can't use a peeling product then. So it's been quite inconvenient for me. Even now, this product doesn't fit my habits at all, so I only end up using it three or four times a month when I remember it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDec 4, 2017Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Hello everyone! It feels like it's been ages since we last connected. My finals are finally over! After hitting the books hard, I managed to score three perfect 100s! How did your exams go? Today, I'm reviewing the Huxley Perfect Gommage Cleanser. As it's my first product from winning The Hwahae Testers, I've been using it consistently to provide a thorough review. I hope you find it helpful! Let's dive in! First, let's look at the ingredients. Interestingly, cellulose, a cell wall component, is the second ingredient. It's likely used as a bulking agent (cellulose is common in gommage-type products). For cleansing, it contains gentler surfactants like sodium laureth phosphate and sodium laureth sulfosuccinate. This makes it suitable for those sensitive to SLS or PEGs. The preservatives are mostly plant extracts and disodium EDTA, good news for those with sensitive skin who react to strong preservatives. The presence of citric acid suggests it's slightly acidic. The packaging is a sleek white cylinder, easy to hold with a smooth pump. The texture is initially firm but spreads easily. It contains fine exfoliating particles and forms a gommage-type scrub when massaged. The usage experience is unique! Unlike typical cleansers where you lather immediately, you apply this to your face and wait for 1 minute. Then, it starts to foam up (see photo). As you massage, it exfoliates with the gommage effect and fine particles. The particles are smaller than most exfoliators, making it less irritating. After cleansing, your skin feels super smooth. When used in the morning, it helps makeup and skincare products absorb better. Despite not using harsh surfactants, its cleansing power is decent. It removes base makeup well and even does a fair job with light eye and lip makeup. This product is absolutely NOT for daily use as your regular cleanser! While it's a gentle exfoliating cleanser, using it every day would be too harsh. I made that mistake and my skin felt irritated the next day. Don't underestimate its exfoliating power! Think of this as more of an occasional treat for your skin, not your everyday cleanser. Use it maybe once every three days, alternating with your regular cleanser. In terms of cleansing power, it's naturally not as strong as other cleansers. It can handle light makeup, but struggles with heavy color cosmetics, mascara, or eyeliner. Be careful around your eyes - it can sting if it gets in! The 1-minute waiting time can be a bit annoying. You might think it's no big deal, but in practice, it feels tedious. And if it gets in your eyes while waiting... not fun! I might have been a bit harsh in my criticism, but don't get me wrong! This is actually better than most exfoliating products out there. While it might not be the best as a daily cleanser, it's excellent as a gentle exfoliator. Today's conclusion: The Huxley Perfect Gommage Cleanser isn't just a cleanser! It's a gentle exfoliator with cleansing benefits.
