The photo shows how it looks when applied, but it doesn't make you excessively pale. It's great - it absorbs well with a nice, firm texture and doesn't sit on top of the skin. However, be careful as it can lead to darkening if not used properly. The downside is that it's a bit small in size. While this could be seen as an advantage, the smaller size means there's less product. Also, the staying power isn't particularly impressive. Apply a brightening moisturizer, then a sebum control powder, and finish with a cushion foundation. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 11, 2019
It has great coverage, similar to Kill Cover that I've used before. It transfers a bit and shade 21 is slightly darker than expected. - th******Combination SkinAcne SkinOct 26, 2018
The coverage seems to be the best thing about this product. As someone with super sensitive skin, I was pleased with the gentle ingredients. Even with just a light application, it provides full coverage - truly top-notch in that department! Unfortunately, it feels quite drying and applies rather thickly. Even with a single application, it feels heavy and suffocating on the skin. As time passes, it tends to separate, requiring frequent touch-ups with a puff to maintain a decent appearance. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 12, 2018
While the coverage is decent, it's not enough to use on its own - you'll definitely want to pair it with a concealer. As someone with oily skin, I love how matte it is, keeping me shine-free all day long. The staying power and adherence to the skin are excellent! Since using this, I've cut down on both my makeup application time and touch-ups. I think it would be perfect for those with oily skin looking for a quick and easy summer makeup routine. Being a high-coverage product, it feels heavier on the skin rather than lightweight. The color also seemed a bit dull to me. However, these issues weren't too severe and were manageable. One thing to note is that due to its matte finish, it can sometimes look a bit patchy around the nose area. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 18, 2018
Well... the ingredients are good, it covers well, and there's no deep dryness! The way it breaks down is... not pretty... It crumbles in a dull and messy way. And I'm not sure if it's just a feeling, but I think I get some blemishes when I use it. I recommend this for acne-prone skin. While it doesn't completely hide all scars on acne-prone skin with many marks, it does provide a decent level of coverage! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessDec 12, 2017Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

First off, I loved how it naturally brightened my complexion. The coverage was also natural and effective. I usually can't use pink-based cushions due to my blemish marks and redness, so I was relieved this cushion has a yellow base. Above all, I was impressed by how lightweight it felt after application. Many lightweight products lack coverage, but this one doesn't compromise on that front. My mom tried it too, and she's planning to purchase it for herself! The transfer is disappointing. While it covers well and has many good points, it transfers onto clothes and hands... Even after a long time... If they could improve the transfer issue, I'd buy it again and again. If you're someone who dislikes transfer, you might want to think carefully before purchasing... Since this product transfers quite a bit, I applied a finishing powder with a brush. This significantly improved the longevity and reduced transfer. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinDec 12, 2017Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

My skin type is combination dehydrated skin, and lately, I've been experiencing blemishes in various areas of my face. I tend to have redness around my nose and slight freckles on my cheeks. First off, the product itself has a powdery finish! However, it didn't feel dry when applying. Longevity: I've used it both as a daily foundation and for touch-ups. While it might be a bit weak on its own, it wasn't bad! After about 6 hours, I noticed some breakdown. Coverage: True to its name, the coverage is good! It effectively conceals redness in various areas. It covers well unless the area is too large or the discoloration too intense. Color: I really liked the color! It didn't have an overly yellow undertone for me. As someone between shades 21 and 23, it was a perfect match. It brightened my complexion naturally without looking too light. Despite being a high-coverage product, which tends to apply a bit thick, it didn't make my skin look heavy. Surprisingly, it didn't seem to settle into my skin much. Due to its powdery nature, it can accentuate skin texture a bit. While it doesn't settle into the skin when first applied, as it breaks down, it tends to sink in and become more noticeable. The way it breaks down around the nose area isn't particularly flattering. I'm not sure if it's because of this product, but I started getting small blemishes on my face. Since I started using another product at the same time, I'm not certain which one is causing it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 11, 2017Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The built-in puff handle was uniquely squishy. I was worried it might stretch out after a few uses, but it turned out to be surprisingly durable. My skin type is combination dehydrated with an oily T-zone. By afternoon, my nose and forehead always get shiny, and sometimes even my cheekbones. I also have rosacea, which causes my cheeks to suddenly flush bright red when my face heats up. While using this product, I didn't experience any blemishes, and I appreciated how well it covered imperfections. As someone who often finds using concealer separately to be a hassle, I found it convenient to just pat on this cushion most days. It even seemed capable of covering acne scars well! When applying makeup in the morning, it goes on very smoothly and feels hydrating. After application, it gives a dewy skin-like finish. While the staying power wasn't particularly short-lived, I wouldn't say it was exceptionally long-lasting either - just average in my opinion. What I liked most was that when my makeup did start to break down, it didn't cling excessively to my nose area. ★The Hwahae Testers review★ The matte case easily shows fingerprints and they're hard to wipe off. I wish the built-in puff did a better job of evenly applying the product. Since it's a high-coverage product, any patchiness is quite noticeable. Unfortunately, the puff doesn't fully do its job, leading to uneven application. It takes quite a few pats to smooth everything out, which can be annoying. As many reviewers have mentioned, despite being shade 21, which should be light, it's actually quite dark. It probably won't suit those who usually use shade 21. Even though I don't have particularly fair skin, it made my complexion look a bit dull. I don't think it matches my skin tone. At first, it seemed to cover my redness well, but after a few minutes when my face heated up, it lost its coverage immediately. In my case, by afternoon, my pores looked very visible and my dead skin cells were emphasized. This was especially bad now due to the dry winter weather. Touch-ups were really frustrating and unpleasant... If I tried to reapply without moisturizer, it just emphasized my flaky skin more. If I sprayed on face mist, the makeup would dissolve and come off in patches. While others mentioned that hair doesn't stick to it easily, I found that it did due to the morning wind. Luckily, it didn't leave marks from the hair. (Maybe thanks to my makeup fixer spray) However, if I touched it directly with my hands, like when fixing my eyelashes, it would immediately leave very noticeable fingerprints. The C*** oxygen cushion I used from summer to fall applied thinly and evenly, naturally brightening my skin tone while feeling comfortable. In contrast, this one feels somewhat heavy due to its thick coverage. As the last step of my skincare routine, I used a hydrating cream with primer function, and applied primer separately on my T-zone and cheekbones. I always finished with a makeup fixer spray. For afternoon touch-ups, I gently blotted with a beauty tissue, then applied moisturizer to areas prone to pilling before reapplying. This helped reduce flaking. Be careful not to overspray the fixer, as it can cause patchy removal if used too frequently. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDec 11, 2017Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

The marks are mostly on my cheeks and temples, while current breakouts are worse on my lower cheeks and chin. Back in school, I had super oily skin, but now at 24, it's oily in summer and combination dehydrated in winter, with only my nose getting shiny. Keep that in mind! This cushion is perfect for those struggling with blemishes or even dry skin-induced breakouts. Most drugstore or department store cushions don't focus on acne-prone skin, often lacking in coverage. But this product really zeros in on blemishes! It offers excellent coverage without triggering breakouts. The ingredients are spot-on for troubled skin, so it doesn't cause new blemishes. I usually only wear makeup once or twice a week due to my skin issues. Typically, after removing makeup at night, I'd have 1-2 major blemishes and a bunch of tiny ones covering my cheeks. But with this product, which contains Centella asiatica extract, I didn't break out as much! My skin just felt a bit sensitive from wearing makeup - that's a win for me! The color suited my skin perfectly. With acne scars, I have some redness, and overly red-based products can actually highlight blemishes. This one has a slight yellow tint that makes my skin look more even and balanced. It really evens out my complexion! While it might not work for those wanting a pink base, I was thrilled with the color. Despite my many blemishes, I try to avoid using concealer. It often looks cakey on old acne marks and can make active breakouts more noticeable or worse. This cushion provides enough coverage that you might not need a separate concealer. One layer might not be enough for acne-prone skin, but two layers as a base, with a third pat on really stubborn marks, should do the trick. No need to worry about coverage with this one! If you've used products for troubled skin before, you know it can be challenging to achieve a sheer skin look. While the coverage is great, eliminating the need for concealer, it might be tough to get that thin, transparent finish if that's what you're after. You'll need to be careful with how much product you use. Like some other cushion products, the sponge isn't perfectly even, and the formula doesn't spread uniformly on the puff. But hey, you can always even it out on the puff yourself, so it's hardly a deal-breaker! Skip the concealer and try using this product with a brush on areas you want to cover! Since it's designed for blemish-prone skin, the coverage is excellent. Instead of using a separate concealer, I recommend using this as an all-in-one product with a brush for spot coverage. It works great! To achieve a less heavy-looking finish, try spritzing some face mist on your puff before applying. As mentioned earlier, one downside is that it can look a bit thick. But if you dampen your puff with a setting spray or face mist before application, it reduces that heavy feeling a bit. For a sheerer application, try using a brush instead of the puff. Both flat and dense brushes work well. If you dampen the brush with setting spray or face mist before applying the product, it goes on much thinner than with a puff. This is a great tip for those who find this product too thick! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDec 11, 2017Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Chu!, ready to give you the most honest and straightforward review of the COSRX cushion that Hwahae users have been eagerly waiting for. Remember the COSRX Mang Bly cushion that once caused a stir on social media? Like many others, I tried it too. But as someone with oily skin, I found it too greasy and disappointing. That experience made me swear off this brand's cushions. However, this cushion has somewhat changed my perception of COSRX cushions ;) Now, let me highlight the advantages of this cushion! Design: This cushion comes in an all-black matte case, which looks very sleek. The design is a standard square shape, nothing out of the ordinary. The built-in puff is also quite typical, nothing special to note. Ingredients: With my sensitive skin, I have to be careful with cosmetics. This cushion contains Centella Asiatica Leaf Water and Madecassoside, and it's a mineral sunscreen cushion that's good for acne-prone skin. Honestly, it's hard to tell just by reading the ingredient list, right? So I tried it myself, and so far, it hasn't caused any additional blemishes on my sensitive skin (after 10 days of use). While I can't say for sure if it truly calms the skin or improves wrinkles, I can tell that the ingredients are better than some other brands! If you have sensitive skin, give it a try and see for yourself! Coverage: I had high expectations for the coverage, and I was truly amazed! I have acne-prone skin, but this cushion covered my blemishes without needing concealer. That's a big plus! Longevity: The staying power is just as impressive as the coverage. For someone like me who always carried a cushion for touch-ups, this one was a game-changer. It feels a bit heavy when applied, but the longevity makes up for it. Drawbacks If you touch your face after applying the cushion, it leaves fingerprints, so be careful around the collar of your blouse! Also, since it's a matte cushion, it might look very patchy on dry skin. The color was another disappointment - I used shade 21, but it made my skin look very yellow. Those with fair skin should be cautious. Tips Since it's very matte and might look patchy, make sure to apply a solid base before using the cushion. As I mentioned earlier, it can make your skin look yellow. So, I apply a brightening moisturizer before the cushion! This seems to help. If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments.
