The shades tend to apply more subtly (especially the matte line). Since I usually go for lighter applications, I really love this. The blending is also really great. - The pearl line is just...insane..... As someone who's obsessed with gold pearls, the pearls here are all so luminous. The metallic shades actually apply even better. - I often do pink eye makeup, and the pink eyeshadows in the 8th or 9th shade range are just perfect for me. (The purple shadow is a trap...) But! The purple shadow is also subtle, so it still gives a pink vibe. - There's barely any fallout even when applied lightly! - It's not at all cakey and applies very smoothly! I don't usually use foundation or cushion, so I'm not sure how it would work on top of those. - The mirror is super big and the case has a cute checkered pattern - it's so pretty! - The product volume is just amazing~
Cons- I heard it contains carmine, but I didn't have any allergic reactions to this ingredient. Those with sensitivities should be cautious! - It does have a scent, not a bad one but more of a factory smell? Anyway, it has a smell. It's not an unpleasant fragrance, just kind of there. - There's one really deep black color that just jumps out, which was a bit disappointing... All the matte shadows were so pink-toned, and then suddenly there's this smoky one.... - The base eyeshadows have really poor color payoff....The three base shadows at the bottom are completely sheer.... So you can just use them to remove oil, I guess!
Tip- The black pearl eyeshadow I mentioned as a downside is actually quite sheer, so it's nice to mix with other shadows. - The pearl eyeshadows have a sparkly, finely-milled pearl finish! - The pink pearl eyeshadows look really pretty and subtle when mixed with blush - not too over-the-top shimmery. They're great if you want to switch up your look a bit!

If you're looking for a palette that gives an autumnal and wintery eye makeup vibe, I'd recommend this one! Compared to the Soul Palette, I prefer the color composition of the Matte & Metal palette more. The matte shadows also seem great for contouring. I've been using them for nose contouring. The pearls have a shimmery finish, but they don't look overly shiny or heavy even when built up. The case has a magnetic closure and a large mirror, which I really like.
ConsI'm not a fan of the case design. There are a lot of scratches on the gold foil part, if that's what you'd call it. There is some fallout, but it seems less than other highly pigmented palettes. Compared to the palette I've been using, I wish the color payoff was a bit better, but I guess that would have meant more fallout. The matte shadows tend to emphasize creases a bit when applied on the brow area. Using a primer might help with that.
