The strong scent is both a pro and a con - you won't need to apply perfume or cologne separately. It has a lightweight moisturizing feel that's perfect for summer, absorbs well without feeling sticky. As mentioned, the strong fragrance could be polarizing - some may love it, others might not. The hydration level feels slightly lacking. It wasn't bad when used in the peak of summer heat. Unfortunately, the ingredients list isn't ideal. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 15, 2020
The absorption and hydration are top-notch. It applies smoothly and leaves skin truly moisturized. Plus, the fragrance is absolutely delightful! While I wouldn't recommend it for those with super sensitive skin or prone to blemishes, it's highly recommended for most people! Apply it before bed at night! Also, for women who wear stockings, I suggest applying it in the morning as well! - du********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 19, 2020
1. Fragrance As someone who generally enjoys coconut scents, I've found them a bit overwhelming in hot weather. However, this emulsion combines coconut with lime, which balances out the heaviness of coconut while maintaining a sweet, aromatic experience. The scent also lasts quite long. 2. Moisturizing power Often, fragranced products can lack in hydration, but this one stands out with its impressive moisturizing capabilities. It's been particularly effective on my calves and elbows, which tend to get dry. I'm especially fond of its rich texture. 3. Packaging I usually don't prefer pump bottles as it's hard to use up all the product. This squeeze tube design is much more practical. 1. Fragrance While I personally enjoy the coconut scent, it's worth noting that fragrances can be quite divisive. This emulsion has a rather strong scent, so those who aren't fans of coconut might want to steer clear. 2. Moisturizing effect Although the hydration is good compared to other scented products, it might not quite match up to unscented, hydration-focused options. I've always found pump bottles frustrating as you can't use up all the product. With tube packaging, you can squeeze out every last bit, and even cut it open at the end to use what's left inside. It's a great way to ensure you're getting the most out of your purchase. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMar 6, 2020
I'm using this space to review the Moroccan Rose scent since it's not listed separately. The fragrance is lovely and it applies smoothly. The hydration is average. I think it might work better if mixed with an oil. I checked the ingredients on the Hwahae app and noticed it contains pore-clogging components. What a shame. I applied it mixed with oil. - eu*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 15, 2019
I discovered Tree Hut while looking for sugar scrubs after Brazilian waxing. I used to only use Moroccan Rose (thinking it had the best scent, but boy was I wrong - there are so many other great fragrances!). This time, I wanted to try a different scent, so I used the Coconut Lime scrub and fell in love with this fragrance. I'm not usually a fan of coconut scents, but this one doesn't have an overpowering coconut smell. Instead, it has a sweet, cozy skin scent with a hint of freshness at the end. I have a very sensitive nose and don't typically like powdery or overly sweet scents, but this one is just right. My skin tends to be dry in winter, and I used to avoid body emulsions and body butters because I disliked the sticky feeling and how they sat on top of my skin. However, this one absorbs quickly, which I really appreciate. I tried the scrub from the same line first, loved the scent, and bought the body emulsion. But when I checked Hwahae, I was disappointed by the ingredients. While fragranced body emulsions inevitably contain perfume, I was upset to see phenoxyethanol, an ingredient I try to avoid as much as possible. Also, if you're looking for intense hydration, you might want to skip this. The moisturizing effect isn't as impressive as you might expect. If you're looking for more hydration, you could try mixing it with aloe gel. That's what I'm planning to do. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 8, 2019
First off, the coconut lime scent is absolutely divine! The absorbs is fantastic - it glides on smoothly and sinks right into the skin. I had no idea the ingredients were this problematic. Because of that, I'm now only using it on my hands and feet. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinOct 19, 2019
Review after using up the entire bottle!!! Body skin type: Generally oily, but legs and arms are a bit dry. No keratosis pilaris or eczema, and not sensitive~ ✔️There's nothing... Really... I just bought it while browsing Olive Young because it was cheaper compared to other emulsions ✔️It's drying. To the point where you wonder if you even applied anything. It's somewhat bearable in summer, but I don't think I could use it in winter. Even though I tend to have oily skin, there were times when I had to reapply it on my legs, sometimes even twice. I bought it because it absorbed well when I tried the tester in-store, and I don't like sticky or thick products, so I thought 'Oh, this is nice~'. But when I actually used it, the finish wasn't powdery, it just felt like the moisture was evaporating? I don't understand why it feels dry even after applying. Zero intention to repurchase. ✔️Scent I don't like strong or sweet scents, and especially with body emulsions, I tend to get headaches from intense fragrances, so I deliberately chose this one. The scent isn't particularly bad, but it's... kind of ambiguous? Honestly, if I were to rate it solely on the fragrance, it would be a 1 out of 5. Because there are so many body emulsions out there with both great scents and good functionality. ✔️Ingredients^^ I checked the ingredients on Hwahae while writing this review after finishing the product, and I just realized how poor they are lol. I can't believe I only checked after using it for months... The good thing is that despite the ingredients, it doesn't seem to have caused any skin issues... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 18, 2019
Personally, this has the best scent among products I've used recently. It's refreshing without being heavy, absorbs well, and has a great texture. However, I'm concerned about the ingredients. I wanted to keep using it, but now I'm having second thoughts. - on*********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 6, 2018
The coconut scent is really lovely. The fragrance lasts for a long time too. While I didn't experience any blemishes or other discomfort, I don't think its hydrating power is particularly exceptional. - go*****Normal SkinRecommendedSep 23, 2018
I bought this from the same line of scrubs because I loved the scent, and indeed, the fragrance is top-notch! While you might expect the coconut lime scent to be heavy on the coconut, it's actually the cool, refreshing lime that dominates. The scent doesn't linger for an extremely long time, which I find perfect - I tend to get uncomfortable when fragrances last all day long. The lotion absorbs well and leaves my skin feeling wonderfully hydrated. I usually avoid body emulsions due to their stickiness, except in winter when my skin is very dry. However, this product isn't sticky at all, just moisturizing. It leaves my skin feeling soft and supple, with a subtle, healthy glow. After checking the ingredients on the Hwahae app, I felt a bit disappointed. While the ingredients aren't bad enough to make me throw it away immediately, they're not something I'd want to repurchase. Once I finish this bottle, it'll be sayonara! Using this right after a shower is a mood-lifter - the scent is so uplifting! And the way it hydrates my skin? That's an even bigger mood booster!
