I was pleasantly surprised by how gentle it was on my skin. When it comes to exfoliating products, the less irritation, the better! The scent is quite subtle, which is fine, but overall the product didn't seem to have any standout features. - ye********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessDead Skin CellsAug 4, 2020
1. I was intrigued that it uses PHA instead of BHA or AHA. I've heard PHA is the least irritating among exfoliating acids. 2. The pad format makes it really convenient to use. 1. I was shocked when I looked at the ingredients list. 2. My skin completely freaked out after using this. - ch******Dry SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 22, 2020
Using this product daily, I could feel my skin texture improving. I usually find it bothersome to use separate exfoliating products, but this one gently exfoliates while refining my skin texture. It suits me well, so I've been using it consistently. It's unfortunate that it contains about three potentially allergenic ingredients. The essence seemed a bit sparse, leaving me feeling like it wasn't quite enough. It's a shame that this product has been discontinued. To prevent the essence from evaporating, make sure not to remove the entire seal when using the product. - ho*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 13, 2020
- My skin is super sensitive and reacts to even the slightest irritation. When I use AHA or BHA peels or exfoliants, my skin feels smoother the next day, but I get red, itchy blemishes. - During cleansing, I used to gently rub off any dead skin cells. (However, my younger brother, who clearly has dead skin, doesn't get any results with my method no matter how much he rubs. I guess it varies from person to person.) - I bought TrueCare PHA because it's said to be gentler than AHA or BHA. - After cleansing and before applying skincare, I wiped my face with it. The next day, I didn't notice any irritation, confirming that this is indeed a gentle product. - It exfoliates more gently and simply than other peeling or exfoliating products! - My younger brother (with combination dehydrated skin, blemishes, and thick skin type) uses it every morning after cleansing, and his skin texture has become much smoother. - Unlike my brother, when I used it daily, my skin became irritated. - The embossed side might feel a bit rough for some. - It stings a lot when wiping areas with red pimples or where I've squeezed blemishes. - I use it every other day or once every three days. - Sometimes when I'm too lazy to wash my face, I wipe with this instead, followed by toner. It's very convenient! - da*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedApr 29, 2020
It feels refreshing and pleasant to use. It's convenient and gives a sensation of thoroughly cleansing away any residue on the face. For me, it was a bit irritating. I'm only using it once every two or three days. - ap**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 9, 2020
I bought this while looking for a toner to use during the day, as I usually use AHA/BHA products. First off, there's no need to apply it with a cotton pad since it's pre-soaked, allowing for quick application after cleansing, which helps prevent deep dryness. The pads are thick and just the right size, and the included tweezers allow for hygienic use of one pad at a time. AHA/BHA products can be harsh for daytime use, especially considering UV exposure and skin irritation. PHA, with its larger molecules, is said to be less irritating and suitable for daytime use, allowing for gentle dead skin cell care without stressing the skin. With continued use, you can feel your skin becoming clearer and more hydrated. I love how it leaves a moisturized feeling without being sticky, and has a refreshing finish. The 70-pad count seems just right for me (using once daily in the morning). If there were too many pads, I'd worry about bacterial contamination since they're pre-soaked. This amount allows for proper cosmetic rotation, lasting about two months with daily use or one month with twice-daily use. The pads don't feel extremely saturated with toner. The official website suggests patting in any remaining essence after use, but in reality, there isn't much left to pat in after wiping your face. I first focus on areas with rough texture for targeted dead skin cell care, then flip the pad over to refine overall skin texture, followed by gently patting with my hands. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 8, 2020
As someone with acne-prone skin, I appreciated how my skin texture felt noticeably smoother after using this product. However, when weighed against the drawbacks, this benefit alone isn't enough to make me overlook the negatives. Hoping to exfoliate, I chose this PHA product, known for being incredibly gentle. Still cautious, I limited use to once a week. Previously, I used AHA/BHA products, but they were too harsh - while they subdued some blemishes, they caused more severe breakouts afterward. I thought PHA might be different, but sadly, it wasn't. Though not as severe as before, I still developed 3-4 small pustules. After three uses, I stopped. While it did refine my skin texture, the prospect of future blemishes was too off-putting to continue use. Given my acne-prone skin, even this product felt too strong and unsuitable for me. If you have severe acne, please carefully consider before using this product. - th********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 31, 2019
I've tried The Saem's exfoliating toner pads. Comparing them to The Saem's peeling pads, I can't really tell a significant difference between the two products. They both feel pretty standard, so I'm planning to give the Innisfree product another try. I don't have professional knowledge, and my skin tends to be more affected by my body's condition (hormones) than external factors. So I'm not sure how beneficial PHA is (for chemical exfoliation). However, I suppose the physical exfoliation from using the pads would definitely work, right? - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedOct 19, 2019
The thin pads are perfect for a quick and easy facial cleanse without feeling heavy on the skin. When my skin is sensitive due to poor overall condition, I'm not sure about its effectiveness. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 14, 2019
1. It's refreshing and the ingredients are excellent. 2. I have super sensitive skin, but it doesn't cause any blemishes. 3. The pads are softer than expected and just the right size to use on both face and neck. 4. I accidentally left the lid open when I went out, but when I came back, the pads were still moist and not dried out. 5. That's why I'm on my second jar now. There's not really anything to complain about, except that being toner pads, they're not extremely hydrating. For those like me who don't do well with AHA or BHA, I highly recommend trying this! You can use it daily for gentle exfoliation without irritation! You can really feel your skin texture improving. Also, one side of the pad is embossed and the other is smooth. On days when my skin feels sensitive or after intense cleansing, I was worried about using the pads, but using the smooth side (which is gentler) works great.
