The value for money compared to individual Mac highlighters is truly excellent. Each shade is sophisticated and luxurious. It's beautiful when applied to the aegyo-sal (under-eye area) or used as eyeshadow! The shimmer particles are a bit large. While it gives a subtle and pretty glow on the cheekbones, I noticed it tends to accentuate texture when applied to the forehead and between the brows, so I have to be extra careful in those areas. It also clumps a bit on the nose tip, so choosing the right application tool is crucial. Additionally, there's significant excess powder when applying with a brush. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMar 14, 2019
I love that I can get three highlighters for such a great price. It's about the same cost as one from Bobbi Brown or other brands, but here you get three! MAC's prices are always so reasonable, which I really appreciate. The shimmer particles are so fine and delicate - it's exactly the highlighter I've been looking for! I love that I can choose different shades depending on my mood. This seems like a must-have for anyone who likes to switch up their makeup looks. The main downside is probably the paper packaging. While I personally buy cosmetics to keep as collectibles too, and the paper case is pretty, I know a lot of people really dislike it. Another small issue is that I'll rarely use the white shade. I'll probably use the beige tone the most. It's a bit of a vicious cycle with palettes where you end up only using certain shades. - dh*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 21, 2018
I absolutely love that this highlighter comes in three different shades. It's such a great advantage as you can choose the perfect highlight for different areas of your face, skin types, or even adapt to your makeup style of the day. When applying with a puff, it tends to go on a bit patchy. Oddly enough, this doesn't happen as much with blush or finely-milled contour powders. Perhaps due to its creamy texture, using a brush can cause excess powder to fly off if you swipe it. Instead, you need to gently pat the brush into the product to pick it up. When using a brush, pat it gently into the product to avoid excess. It looks beautiful when you highlight the T-zone, under the eyes, and along the cheekbones. Feel free to mix the colors or use whichever shade suits your mood that day. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 8, 2018
It's great that you can buy three shades at once. Applying highlighter really makes your face look more three-dimensional compared to not using it. There's a noticeable difference between just contouring and combining contouring with highlighting. Sometimes you can see slightly larger shimmer particles (a bit bigger than Laura Mercier's). However, as you practice, your application skills improve, and you learn to control the amount better, resulting in a more natural look. The type of brush you use can affect the color payoff, so it's worth experimenting with different brushes you own to find what works best for your preferences. I wouldn't recommend using a puff as it can apply too heavily. For reference, I deliberately applied foundation before adding the highlighter for this color test.
