This was my first time using such a high-end foundation. I hesitated a lot before buying, but I'm so satisfied with it! Actually, even with a solid skincare base, my extremely oily skin usually struggles with makeup when it gets even slightly warmer. I highly recommend this to people with similar concerns. While it's truly expensive for the amount you get, it's absolutely worth the price! Given how pricey it is, I wish there was a bit more product... But being a luxury brand, I suppose they're unlikely to change that, right?

Even when oil surfaces, it doesn't make the skin look dirty (I have that kind of skin, unfortunately). Despite its high coverage, it has minimal transfer and doesn't leave marks easily! It goes on thin but the coverage is not bad at all. While it does transfer a bit to masks, it doesn't noticeably rub off your makeup. No darkening! The color is beautiful. When you finish with powder, it becomes extremely matte, so you really need to be careful with the amount of powder you use. As someone with oily skin, I typically prefer matte finish, long-wear, and thinly-applied products. So this can't be compared to more moisturizing formulas. I used a pore brush foundation brush from another brand, not Barbie's. Here are the pros I found: 1. Applies thinly (though slightly thicker than Benefit's Happy foundation, which was the thinnest I've tried, and a bit thicker than Lancôme's Teint Idole). 2. Once it sets, there's absolutely no transfer. 3. Decent coverage for how thin it is. Blemishes and scars show through, but it covers pores well. 4. Nice neutral tone - not too yellow or pink. Great if you like a natural look without being too bright or different from your skin tone. 5. Spreads well with little product. Less than one pump covers evenly with a brush without streaks. Just work quickly before it sets. 6. Has a forest-like scent, which I didn't mind (could be a pro or con for some). 7. Doesn't settle into nose creases as much as most foundations. 8. Good staying power. Usually my nose area gets patchy and lifts, but this stays intact for quite a while (similar to Lancôme Teint Idole, but slightly less brightening and applies thicker. Teint Idole lasted longer but irritated my skin immediately. This has much better ingredients). 1. Can be affected by skin condition. Use carefully on oily days and ensure proper skincare if dry. Results may vary with sunscreen or base products. 2. Not very brightening. I'm usually 22-22.5, but this lighter shade matched my skin with mineral sunscreen almost exactly in tone and depth. 3. Ingredients aren't the best - I got a few blemishes after 3 days of use. 4. Doesn't cover redness or blemishes exceptionally well. 5. Results may vary with different tools. With drying tools like sponges, good skincare prep is crucial. 6. After a while, slight darkening and pore-settling became noticeable. Decent for daily use, but probably not for occasions needing flawless makeup. Its strengths are natural skin appearance (balanced color, application, and coverage), lightweight feel, thin application, and lasting matte finish. I'm currently using this product for the second time. As someone with extremely dry skin, I always struggled with makeup disappearing. But since using this product, all those concerns have vanished! I'm not sure if there's an ingredient that doesn't agree with me... Occasionally something feels off. However, I keep using it because the staying power is excellent.
