The texture is perfect for smooth and even application! The scent is quite strong, which I love (though it might be a hit or miss for some). What I really adore is how it provides great hydration without feeling greasy.
ConsControlling the amount dispensed can be tricky. When you press down, a lot of mousse comes out... The quantity per pump is more than you might expect.
TipI found it works best when applied to damp hair after towel-drying, rather than on completely dry hair!

Please keep this in mind! Urban Tribe Hydrate Leave-in Foam Ingredients: It's a gentle, slightly acidic formula that's paraben-free and suitable for those with sensitive scalps. This no-wash treatment helps improve protein bonding deep within the hair shaft after just one use on rough and damaged hair surfaces! It contains natural ingredients (argan oil, jojoba butter, mango seed butter, shea butter, and tangerine peel oil) that make your hair stronger! Urban Tribe User Review: My hair is long, prone to tangling, and damaged. The Urban Tribe Leave-in Foam is a no-wash treatment, so after shampooing, I apply it evenly to damp hair. It makes my hair more manageable and easier to comb! Before pumping, I give it a little shake. It comes out like a mousse, in cloud-like clumps, but it absorbs quickly when applied to the hair. It spreads evenly and has a subtle floral scent. There's no residue on hands, no stickiness, and when applied to damp hair, it makes it smoother. As it dries, it adds volume to the permed ends. It's a great, quick-absorbing, convenient no-wash treatment that protects and manages my tangle-prone, damaged hair while improving its texture!
ConsThe downside is that since this was my first time using a mousse-type product, I found it a bit tricky to control the amount when pressing the pump. I occasionally spilled some of the mousse, which was slightly disappointing.
TipHere's a pro tip: when your hair feels extremely dry and rough, apply a generous amount of Urban Tribe Leave-in Foam all over, then finish with a curl-enhancing emulsion. This really brings out the curls and adds bounce - it's my go-to trick!

When testing it solo, I applied it 2-3 times with intervals - once after towel-drying and again during blow-drying. Currently, my routine is: towel-dry > water treatment > mid-blow-dry > Hydrate Leave-in Foam > end of blow-dry > hair serum. The scent is slightly heavy and intense, reminiscent of musk, which I enjoy. While not overpowering, you can detect it if you sniff closely. I'm satisfied with this level of fragrance for a hair product. True to its name, it has a foam texture. Remember to shake the bottle before use. You can feel the liquid moving initially, and as you shake more, you'll notice the texture changing and the movement decreasing. When dispensed, it comes out as a rich, fluffy foam. I tried to see how much one pump would dispense but stopped midway as it seemed endless. As you apply the foam to your hair, it gently dissipates and envelops each strand. I pondered the benefits of a foam formula, especially since residual foam on the nozzle seemed unhygienic. However, I concluded that the foam likely helps distribute the product more evenly than oils or serums, which can sometimes clump in one area.
ConsI felt the packaging didn't quite match the product's formula. A lot of foam remains around the nozzle after use, and it's difficult to clean due to the small grooves. Even after wiping, moisture builds up inside the cap from incompletely cleaned foam that liquefies. Unlike other products where you can control the amount by the number of pumps based on hair length or thickness, this one continues to dispense as long as you press, making it challenging to control the quantity.
TipIf not shaken thoroughly, the foam breaks down quickly.

Unique texture: Initially, I thought this mousse-type essence might clump, but after massaging it into my hands a few times, it absorbs quickly without leaving any residue and makes my hair feel soft! It's great that it doesn't clump and just softens my hair. Even if you apply a lot, there's no stickiness. It absorbs well and the mousse format makes it easy to control the amount. 2. User-friendly packaging: The pump-type container is hygienic, and one pump dispenses just the right amount to apply, which is so convenient! 3. No salon smell: I love that it doesn't have that typical hair salon scent!
Cons1. Fragrance: The scent is quite strong and lingers for a while. If you're sensitive to strong fragrances, this might be hit or miss. It's not exactly a salon smell, but it is intense. I noticed it's made in Italy, so it has a distinct Western scent. I don't mind strong fragrances, but it might be challenging for those who do. 2. Packaging quirk: The container has an unusual design where product gets trapped between the pump mechanism after use. It's a bit inconvenient. 3. Ingredients: After checking on Hwahae, I realized the ingredient list isn't that impressive.
TipI usually wash my hair at night, and when I apply essence before bed, it tends to make my hair clump. So I apply it in the morning, but on dry hair, essences often feel sticky or sit on the surface. However, with this one, even when I apply it before going out in the morning, there's no clumping at all. My hair is slightly wavy and tends to be frizzy, but this makes it smooth, prevents static, and works great! Highly recommended for those with slightly wavy, dry hair!

When you press the pump, a rich foam comes out, and it smells exactly like shampoo, which I found really uplifting. I loved that the subtle fragrance lingered without needing to apply perfume separately! I took before and after photos for you. My hair was extra frizzy because I forgot to use conditioner, but you can see how the Hydrate Leave-in Foam calmed it down. I absolutely hate residue on my hands after applying hair products, but this foam formula left almost no trace, which was great! The product absorbed into my hair at a good pace too. Just run it through your hair and the foam disappears.
ConsIt's tricky to control the amount that comes out. The pump releases quite a bit at once, so it might be challenging for those with thin or short hair to dispense just a small amount. It's a bit messy to use when you're dressed. I tried using it while wearing a top, and I could see the product getting all over my clothes, which was disappointing.
