There is a color between the existing Cool Bone and Shell that would be just right. Be sure to refer to the really bright one.

The longevity is top-notch, assuming the use of a fixative.

While it's less matte than the Double Wear Foundation, it does tend to get a bit oily over time. Lately, with wearing masks, I find it can transfer a bit when I touch up with this. The staying power doesn't seem quite as strong as the foundation. And when I purchased it, the refill for this shade wasn't available. Please make a refill for this!

This is absolutely amazing! I often recommend it to those around me, but many don't seem to know much about this product. It's less matte than the Double Wear Foundation and the pink-based shade is beautiful. I use shades 17 to the lighter 21, as I have a cool skin tone! I use the Double Wear Foundation for my morning makeup base, and this as an occasional touch-up, and the two work perfectly together. As I have sensitive skin, I usually react to products, but I've been using this for three tubes now with no issues.

Unlike the original Doublewear foundation, which has a paint-like, seamless adherence and setting effect, this one doesn't quite have the same level of lasting power.

When I used the previous Doublewear foundation gel in the lightest shade, it matched my skin tone perfectly, but as it darkened, it looked darker. This one, however, is a shade or two lighter than my skin, so it gives a radiant look. The brightness is definitely there, and the pink undertone really helps counteract the yellow in my face, making me look even more fair.

Natural skin expression
Since my skin is on the brighter side, when I buy shade 21 from other places, it sometimes looks too dark. But here, the color selection is diverse, and purchasing the lightest shade gave me the color I wanted, which I'm very happy about.

The coverage is good, but I think it would be better to use a foundation or concealer as well.

I really like it. I used to use Estee Lauder Porcelain, but I switched to Chanel, and I didn't like the yellowish tint of the Porcelain, but this bright reddish one is great!

❣I'm in between shades 13 and 21, and I purchased the pinky beige 'shell' color. I tested it at the department store but ended up buying it online, which led me to choose the wrong shade. There's a slightly whitish cast, so I've been using it more as a highlighter on the T-zone area.

The Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation was too drying and a disappointment for me, so I was a bit skeptical when I bought this.

❣This cushion has surprisingly good staying power and coverage for a cushion product.
Even though the finish is not as completely matte as the Double Wear, the longevity and coverage are quite impressive.
In fact, as time passed and some oil came through, the skin appearance actually became more beautiful than when I first applied it.

I apply this cushion foundation with a brush, then dab it in with the cushion puff. I also use a matte powder compact to lightly press the edges of my face, and finish with a makeup setting spray. This way, I don't even need to retouch my makeup throughout the day - it's so good!

The pink shade makes my whole face look a bit flushed. 😅 It's not an extreme pink explosion, but the difference between my face and neck is noticeable since my neck is a bit more yellow-toned. 😭 I don't want to apply it on my neck because cleansing would be a hassle, so next time I'll try a different color.

The Double Wear liquid foundation is incredibly matte, so it's hard to apply evenly by spreading it on your face quickly before it sets. That's why I ended up not using it much, and it felt burdensome to apply in the busy mornings.
On the other hand, the Double Wear cushion foundation gives a dewy, glowing skin finish. But even so, the staying power is still amazing! ❣️❣️

I highly recommend this cushion - it's a life-saver!


The coverage is not completely non-existent, but if you don't control the amount well, it can look cakey. I press the puff down firmly once, then use the remaining product to lightly dab on my cheeks, nose, and forehead one by one. Then I use the leftover product to apply it evenly over my face. This way, it applies smoothly without looking too thick.

Before makeup, I apply a non-greasy face oil, and I find that the cushion adheres and blends better when applied on this slightly hydrated base, resulting in a smoother, more seamless finish.


• Accentuating Flakiness
Now that I think about it, I've been reaching for this cushion more often from fall onwards, compared to summer. In the summer, with all the sweating and heavy powder application, the touch-ups would end up looking patchy and uneven. I'd have to lightly wipe it off and reapply, but the areas around my nose and cheeks would still emphasize the flakiness. 
However, in the fall and winter, when I apply a more hydrating base, this issue is much better. But when I try to retouch or lightly wipe and reapply, the flakiness can still be slightly accentuated. This is just based on my personal skin condition, of course.

Also, now that I use this cushion more frequently, there's less product transfer onto the puff, so if I just apply it directly, it can look a bit uneven. But this is easily fixed by making sure to pick up enough product on the puff before application.

• Puff
The cushion puff is not great. I had read reviews about the puff being subpar before purchasing, so I was a bit wary, and it turns out the puff really isn't great in my experience either. It doesn't seem to pick up and release the foundation evenly. The application with the puff is also not very smooth, so I ended up purchasing a separate puff to use with this cushion.

 
• Beautiful Shades
It's difficult to find cushions that match 13-15 skin tones, and I've known about the popularity of Estee Lauder foundations and cushions, but the shades... The common shades always look a bit dull and yellowish on me. Just as I was about to give up, I saw the 'Shell' and 'Porcelain' colors and thought, "This is it!" After extensively searching blogs and YouTube, I finally made the purchase! The colors are so beautiful, it was worth all the time I spent agonizing over it!
I love a radiant makeup look, so I wanted a slightly lighter shade, and the pink-based color is perfect for me!

• Skin Expression
I bought it for summer use as I have a combination skin type, but I'm still using it even in January! After applying a hydrating base, this cushion gives me a smooth, seamless skin finish. The adherence is great - just a few pats with the puff and it blends in beautifully. I've been using a lot of base makeup lately, and every time I use this, people around me compliment my skin, saying it looks so smooth and radiant. It's not an overly dewy type, but has a nice, natural glow without being sticky.

• Longevity
Of course, I don't do much touch-up makeup, so this area is great. It's hard to say definitively, but compared to other cushions, this one doesn't require as much attention on the skin and stays put well. As mentioned earlier, the natural finish means it doesn't get cakey or disappear throughout the day.

• Case Design
The case is so pretty! I love using it for touch-ups on the go. The mirror case has good fingerprint recognition, but it's not so much that it becomes distracting. I tend to toss my bag around a lot, but the case has held up well without any damage so far. Seems quite durable!

It's best to apply it sparingly, as that helps the makeup last longer. I find it a bit drying, so I like to use it together with the Innisfree Hydrating Fitting Base.

When I first started using it, I experienced some breakouts, but as I continued using it, the situation improved.

The product adheres well to the skin, and unless you rub it too hard, it stays on the face and applies very thinly. Since it applies so thinly, you can get away with buying a shade that's a bit lighter than your skin tone.

Thinking that I'll apply it multiple times, I do simple basic skincare without making it too thick, and I use the Foundation!

I have oily and sensitive skin, and on the first day, after applying it, my eyebrows and some areas became itchy after 2 hours, but the itchiness went away a little later. I guess it would look thicker if I applied it multiple times?

Even though I only take a sip of alcohol, my face turns red and I don't drink often, but on the days when I use the Double Wear Foundation, I can cover it up to some extent when I drink. The adhesion is good and it covers my skin moisturly.
