It helped reduce blemishes and was easy to apply! Well, my skin felt a bit suffocated and the product seemed to break down quickly on my face. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 11, 2021
Compared to the original Double Wear which can be a bit drying when applied sparingly, this one feels more hydrating. I wonder if it's unrealistic to expect the same coverage and longevity as the Double Wear foundation. For areas that need more coverage, I find that applying a small amount of the original Double Wear and then layering this cushion over it seems to boost both coverage and longevity! - wo*****Dry SkinRecommendedMay 25, 2021
I usually prefer thin and moisturizing cushions, but since it's summer, I was looking for a slightly more matte option. I received this as a gift and I'm really enjoying it! I typically prioritize hydration over coverage, and I'm quite satisfied with this product. The coverage seems to be medium, and while the finish isn't extremely powdery, it's definitely more matte compared to other cushions I've used. It leaves my skin with a nice, semi-matte finish! However, since my skin tends to be quite dry with little oil, I noticed that if I don't properly hydrate with toner or cream in my skincare routine, this cushion can feel a bit drying. Those with dry skin might want to test it out before purchasing. I heard there's a refill promotion on the Estée Lauder official website, so I think I'll be using this all summer long! - ho*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 20, 2020
I used the Sand shade. The color matches perfectly with my 23 shade skin tone, but I think Warm Vanilla would have been nice too. At first, because I had a lot of dead skin cells, they became more noticeable. However, after proper exfoliation, it seems fine! Also, I only apply moisturizer before using this cushion, but I think it would look even more hydrated if I used sunscreen too. I didn't experience any major blemishes, but I did notice some elongated sebum production. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 2, 2020
Thank you for creating the Double Wear foundation in cushion form It's a bit drying and can cause some dead skin cells to appear, but it's still good - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 18, 2020
I'm a fan of the Double Wear foundation, so I decided to try the cushion version. First off, the coverage is excellent. I have quite a few blemishes, and while it doesn't have the same skin-like adherence as the liquid foundation, it's impressive for a cushion. The staying power is great, and it's perfect for touch-ups without caking. I'm usually a shade 22, but I prefer 23 in Korean products. Why? My blemish marks tend to be on the darker side, so matching that color helps my skin look healthier overall! The Warm Vanilla shade isn't too light and gives an overall natural complexion. The price is the downside. I snagged it duty-free, but it's still wickedly expensive without a refill... If we're talking value for money, I have a feeling there might be better Korean products out there. - je******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 11, 2020
While the coverage isn't exceptional, I'm really pleased with its long-lasting wear and how it keeps my skin hydrated. It's great that it doesn't cake or separate, regardless of whether it's summer or winter. The only downside is that it's quite pricey. It's worth it, but still a bit hard on the wallet. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 30, 2020
I have dry skin that occasionally gets flaky, even in summer. Although it's dry, I have a few small bumps, and with summer, my pores have become more noticeable! Keep this in mind as you read my review. I got the chance to buy this product duty-free! My holy grail used to be the MAKE P:REM UV Defense Me Blue Ray Sun Cushion, but when summer came, it felt too sticky. Plus, I was getting occasional blemishes.. I tested four products - Hera Black Cushion, Estée Lauder Futurist, YSL cushion, and this one - before making my purchase. When testing, this product didn't feel overly matte or suffocating on my skin, making it perfect for summer use. On the first day I wore it, I went to the gym at night. Even after 30 minutes of running and 90 minutes of strength training, my makeup didn't budge.. It stayed smooth and perfectly adhered to my skin! However, on days when I haven't taken proper care of my skin, it can look patchy, dry, or settle into pores with visible oil. This product really emphasizes the importance of skincare and proper prep! I might struggle to use it in autumn, but seeing that it doesn't cause any breakouts, the ingredients seem to be good! Highly recommended! Those with dry skin need to pay extra attention to their skincare routine. Apart from that, everything else about this product was truly excellent! - ss*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedDec 29, 2019
As someone with shade 22, I prefer a natural look over a bright one, so I chose Warm Vanilla. My extremely sensitive skin doesn't usually agree with cushion products, but I always need something for touch-ups on the go. When choosing a cushion, my top priority is avoiding skin irritation. Despite my tendency to develop seborrheic dermatitis and the occasional hormonal blemish, this Estée Lauder cushion didn't cause any issues. It's neither amazing nor terrible - just okay. It might be worth trying once. The staying power is decent too! If I don't find a significantly better cushion, I might repurchase this, but I'll still look for alternatives. Shade 22 is too dull for my liking. The price point of $69 without a refill is also a drawback. Using a Missha cushion puff significantly improves the application and finish on the skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSep 2, 2019
It applies beautifully and creates a natural glow that makes your skin look fantastic. The foundation doesn't break down easily, and it's quite moisturizing, so touch-ups are smooth without any patchiness. The staying power is also pretty impressive. After using the NARS cushion for just 4 days, my skin completely flipped out. I was heartbroken, having spent so much on a product I couldn't use. Hoping for better luck, I invested in Estée Lauder this time. I waited until all my small blemishes had calmed down before trying it, but my skin reacted badly again. Now I'm dealing with a new outbreak of tiny bumps from the Estée Lauder cushion too. As someone with sensitive, acne-prone skin, I'm at a loss for which cushion foundation to try next.
