It's not a high-coverage foundation, but it provides adequate coverage to conceal minor blemishes. After application, it has a slight sheen without looking overly shiny, which is nice. The refill pack configuration results in a high price of 42,000 won. However, it's usually on sale for at least 30% off, so it's a good idea to purchase it during those times. As it's a cushion, it tends to get used up quickly. - ji**********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMay 6, 2019
I like the glow it gives. While it doesn't provide full coverage, it does a decent job. It's great for touch-ups. The staying power is pretty good, I'd say above average. Personally, I'm not a fan of the puff it comes with. Over time, the makeup tends to break down and settle into lines. I usually prefer matte cushions, but when I need a bit of glow for certain outfits or occasions, I lightly layer this product on top. It creates a natural, subtle glow that's not over the top, which I really appreciate. - vu***Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 1, 2018
While the coverage isn't exceptional, it's fantastic at evening out the complexion! The staying power is pretty decent, and even as it fades throughout the day, it does so gracefully. It applies with a hydrating feel, but doesn't get oily over time. I used to use the Eau Thermale Serum Cushion and loved it so much that I was about to repurchase it. But I decided to give this a try, and it's so great that I think I'll be picking up the Dazzling version next time! I can't really think of any downsides... Maybe that the coverage is good at first but gradually fades a bit over time? But even then, it wears off evenly, maintaining a beautiful complexion! - 08***Dry SkinAtopic SkinMay 5, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

However, lately I've been dealing with some skin issues due to fine dust and (major) stress. My skin tone is 21 with a deep undertone (I think), and I have some dark spots! 1. It's incredibly hydrating! As soon as you apply it, you get this instant glow. 2. The coverage is pretty good. If you press it in firmly and pat it all over your face, it covers quite well. 3. It doesn't make your face look ghostly, but it doesn't darken it either - it's just right! Some products make you look too pale, and others make you look pale but dull. This one strikes a nice balance. However, I won't be repurchasing, and here's why: The pilling is serious! I used to be a makeup newbie who didn't even know what pilling was, but now I get it. Because it's so hydrating, it transfers easily, and after just 2-3 hours, you suddenly become an oil slick. I've never needed oil blotting papers during my makeup wear before, but with this, I really wanted some. I usually only use powder in the height of summer, but with this cushion, I had to powder even in April. There are some comments about the scent, but it didn't bother me much. What I couldn't handle was my base makeup literally melting and sliding off my face. My mom says she likes it though? You need to touch up your makeup very, very frequently! - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 5, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I'm thrilled to share this review as a lucky winner of The Hwahae Testers selection! I was over the moon when I won, especially since I was in the market for a cushion foundation. Let me dive into my review! I'm a woman with dry skin, typically using shade 22. Given my dry skin, I tend to use very hydrating skincare products. However, when I applied this cushion after my skincare routine, it didn't adhere well to my skin. You know that annoying situation where the product comes off when you touch your face? That's exactly what happened. I wonder if it's because my base was too moisturizing. Also, even though I have shade 22 skin, I used the shade 21 of this product, and it initially made my face look quite dark. It was quite shocking at first! I thought maybe it was because of the oil in my skincare products. It wasn't just me - others noticed it too. However, after some time, it did seem to improve. I wore this product while working a busy six-hour shift where I sweat a lot. Unfortunately, it accentuated the fine lines around my eyes and nasolabial folds. By the end of my shift, most of the product had worn off. I think this would look prettier when you're not doing sweat-inducing activities, and touch-ups are absolutely necessary! It seems more suitable for winter than summer. On the bright side, I prefer cushions with a dewy finish over matte ones. They make the skin look prettier and less suffocating! This product hits that sweet spot perfectly! It's not too shiny, not too matte - just right in the middle, giving a skin finish that I absolutely love! While I mentioned earlier that the adherence wasn't great, it's actually decent if your base isn't too oily. The coverage is... well, average. Interestingly, I've never paid much attention to the sebum on my nose with other products, but with this one, it was particularly noticeable. The biggest disappointment is the ingredients list. After being selected for The Hwahae Testers, I looked into the product more closely and found that there are many ingredients that aren't great. At first, I wasn't sure if I should even use it. If your base is too oily, the final look won't be pretty. I apply toner a few times before using this product, and that seems to work better! - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedMay 4, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

I was thrilled to win the event, but I was even more excited when I received it and found a refill inside. It was great to get an extra product, just like the original, even though it was an event prize. Coincidentally, my mom's compact ran out, so we ended up sharing - one each. Regarding makeup breakdown: I have combination dehydrated skin with oily T-zone and cheeks, but dry elsewhere. Usually, due to excess oil, I experience more darkening than others and my makeup comes off easily. However, with this product, the darkening is moderate (which I think would be fine for most people), and when it does break down, it doesn't settle into pores and fades beautifully. So I didn't bother touching up and just let it wear naturally. It didn't break down excessively either. Coverage: I think others would be satisfied with this aspect too. I applied it like my usual compact (I used to use Missha Ten* Pact), dabbing the puff once on my face, and wow - that single application covered my entire face. The coverage is so good that even a thin layer is enough without needing multiple applications or concealer! Application: The weather's been dry lately, causing some dead skin cells to appear. This product didn't accentuate them at all. My previous compact tended to highlight flakiness, making my skin look worse with makeup, but not this one. Skin appearance: Sharing my very dry-skinned mom's opinion - she used to love a compact featured on home shopping with essence for its moisturizing properties. But after using this, she said it gives her skin a glow and makes it look more elastic. My mom doesn't care much about coverage, but she preferred this over that famous home shopping compact. Lastly, I received shade 21, and the color was perfectly fine. While the feel was good, I deducted one star because some ingredients might not be ideal for oily skin, and I was worried about my pores. I was a bit concerned while using it since my nose and cheeks are oily. I recommend this to those who dislike using concealer because it makes their face look heavy and overly made-up. With its good coverage even in thin layers and the glow it provides, I think it can create a naturally flawless skin look. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 2, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

But I think I've finally found the one! This is the most hydrating cushion I've ever used, and it doesn't separate at all. My complexion tends to have redness, but the yellow base provides decent coverage and works well for me. What I love most is how it adheres to the skin and feels moisturizing (not in an overly hydrating way, but with a nice balance of oil for a dewy finish). I'm also sensitive to strong fragrances in cosmetics, but the scent wasn't overwhelming at all. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product! The puff tends to leave more visible marks than expected, so you need to take your time and pat it in gently multiple times for the best result. Also, a little goes a long way - even a light press releases plenty of product, so be careful not to apply too much pressure or it might end up looking too thick. While the coverage is generally good, it might not be enough for major blemishes or large pores. Keep that in mind when considering this product. - se******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 2, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

Even if the coverage isn't high, I'm satisfied as long as it doesn't clog my pores. This product has good coverage and doesn't settle into pores much. Perhaps due to the hot spring water, it gives a slight sheen when applied. The product applies well from the start, offering good coverage - one dab is enough to cover the whole face, which I love. I always use a pore primer because of my pores, but even with primer, sometimes products still settle in. I once forgot to use primer, but was pleasantly surprised to see my pores looking clean. The staying power is better than expected, and it makes both my pores and skin texture look great. If you apply a light layer and feel it's not enough, adding more can make you look cakey. Due to its good coverage, it's best not to get greedy with application. If you apply too much, there's a risk of creating a noticeable difference between your face and neck. The product sets quickly, so if it becomes cakey, it's hard to blend out even by patting. You might need to remove some with a sponge dampened with emulsion or toner. I tried using a common air puff from Aritaum, but it didn't apply as nicely as the original puff. The thick original puff works great! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 1, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

As someone who's been dealing with acne for years and has significant blemishes (see photo), I've tried countless base products. Most cushions I've used had weaker coverage compared to liquid foundations, so I rarely used them. However, this one offers coverage as good as liquid foundation, which I'm thrilled about. You can see in the photos just how incredible the coverage is... Moisture: It's not exactly... hydrating? Since it's oil-based rather than water-based, it feels more slick than moisturizing. The oil layer seems to lock in the moisture from your skincare routine, making it well-suited for dry skin types. Longevity: For a dewy foundation, the staying power is impressive. It easily lasts 8 hours without touch-ups - just blot excess oil, and your skin looks as fresh as when you first applied it. As time passes and it mixes with natural oils, it can feel a bit uncomfortable on the skin, similar to sweaty underarms in summer. I might need to save this for winter use. If you don't cleanse thoroughly, it may cause blemishes. This product applies quite thickly, so you need to layer it very thinly. Otherwise, it can cake up. For smooth-looking skin, pat it on gently in multiple thin layers (see photo for reference). - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMay 1, 2018Reviewed by The Hwahae Testers

There was hardly any darkening. When my skin was in good condition, this cushion was a perfect match for me. Being matte, it tends to look patchy on my dry skin quite often. While it looks good from afar, I was really shocked when I looked closely in the mirror. It clumps and separates so badly. I wish it was more hydrating. I apply it with a different sponge instead of the built-in puff, which seems to reduce patchiness.
