Usually, when I think of scrubs, I imagine an irritating sensation while massaging the face, or feeling grainy particles that leave my skin red after cleansing. However, with the Koivana scrub, there's none of that! The texture is incredibly light, so there's no irritation during the massage, and it rinses off smoothly. Perhaps because it's so light, while it doesn't irritate, it doesn't remove dead skin cells perfectly either. Usually, peeling scrubs can be a bit painful, but this one is more like a gommage type that rolls off like dead skin without irritating the skin. After exfoliating, my skin feels incredibly soft and smooth - I love it! There's nothing particularly disappointing about it, but I noticed you need to be careful with the amount you use. If you pump out too much, it doesn't exfoliate as effectively.
