To avoid the pore-emphasizing issue, I apply it with a thin, flat-tipped brush, which makes it glide on easily and saves time.

* Personal opinion
When switching to the Laura foundation, the shade was the biggest concern for me. I tried the gold-capped version as well, and it's a half-shade darker and has a slightly lighter texture than the black-capped one, but I personally prefer the yellow-capped one overall, aside from the shade issue. Matching the right shade is just so difficult. 

However, if you have acne-prone, sensitive skin and are looking for a matte, high-coverage foundation for summer that has good ingredients, I'd recommend giving this a try.

As mentioned above, the shade is disappointing, and the longevity is not great (even with the Laura primer, it was similar). It's a matte type with very fine particles that emphasize pores and end up settling into them over time.

The application is very, very smooth and buttery (while exclaiming in awe). The coverage is high (comparable to double wear), yet it applies very thinly. You can do your makeup without concealer, and if you need more coverage in certain areas, just apply a second layer for perfection. (The eye area may feel a bit dry)
At first, it pumps out in a fluffy, whipped texture, and as you apply it, it becomes silky. It dries quickly, so I recommend applying it swiftly. As it sets, the color changes (becoming noticeably darker).
I'd recommend testing the shades to find the best match for you. (Laura seems to have a slightly pink-based undertone, while the yellow-based shades have an orangey tint)

I found the original double wear shade to be the best color match for my skin (a bright yellow-toned ivory), and among the yellow-based shades, this was the only one I purchased, but it's a bit dark and takes on a slightly pinkish-orange tone as it sets.

It breaks down in a balanced way, blending in with the skin's oils, but without the initial seamless adherence and the oily sheen coming through. A light touch with your fingers can help it look more natural again.

And when you apply it to the face, it feels as light as the name 'lingerie foundation' suggests (much lighter than double wear).

 You're right, this foundation was likely formulated with summer in mind, and I just happened to try it out in the winter. Since I had good luck with the Armani Power Fabric in the summer, I'm hopeful this one won't be a total bust either. By my standards, I actually prefer the feel of this one over the Armani (though I should test its sweat-resistance).
I'm also pleased that the ingredient list for this foundation is relatively decent.

And when I apply this foundation, I use the white Olive Young sponge, and I find the pairing works well.😄

 1. It's true that the amount of foundation that comes out with one pump is quite small. But since this foundation sets quickly, the small amount isn't necessarily a bad thing.

2. The packaging does tend to get dirty easily. I make a habit of wiping the opening, but it's surprisingly hard to clean off completely.😅

3. Especially for those with dry skin, this foundation may be a bit (a lot) too much in the winter. Dry-skinned folks should opt for a more hydrating foundation! For oily skin types, you'll really need to have a solid skincare routine in place to be able to use this in the winter. As the previous reviewer mentioned, even oily skin can struggle with this on its own during the colder months.

4. This is more of a brand issue than specific to the foundation - Laura Mercier has limited accessibility. From what I know, there aren't that many Laura Mercier counters in Seoul department stores.😢

Longevity:
The longevity is really great. Even though I have combination skin, I like to finish my makeup with a very matte look. And I'm too lazy to do touch-ups 😂 In my experience, when it does start to break down, it blends seamlessly with the natural oils in my skin, giving a nice, subtle glow. For oily skin types, just blotting with oil-absorbing papers or tissues to soak up any excess shine should work well. I also found it transferred less than the Armani Power Fabric foundation.

Even for those with oily skin, it may be difficult to use on its own in the winter due to dryness.

I have combination skin with a lot of oil in my nose area. Applying it with a water drop puff and setting it with powder means it can withstand even the sweat and oil of a hot summer day. I was amazed that it didn't break down at all even after being out all day in the humid summer weather this year. The coverage is medium to high.
The shade (based on my arm swatch) is slightly lighter than Double Wear Sand.
