I bought it based on that alone!! No whitening effect.
ConsThe volume is small compared to the price, and it has a slightly milky, musty smell (not a strong smell, but a subtle milky, musty scent). Strangely, even though the product is moisturizing, it makes it difficult to apply makeup on the skin when using this product.

I've tried all the sunscreens that others say are good, but I kept getting breakouts, so I thought 'I guess I'm just not compatible with sunscreens.' I just used foundation and went about my day. But then dark spots started appearing on my cheeks that weren't there before, and the SPF in the foundation I'm using now is too low, which worries me. So I searched around and found this one that's marketed for children, and I decided to give it a try. When I first applied it to my face, there was a slight tackiness, but it didn't immediately slide off. It felt like I was applying a serum, and it was moisturizing. The sunscreens I used before would make my face look so shiny and greasy, and I hated that heavy, oily feeling. But this one doesn't have that at all. It's not drying either!! It's kind of in the middle of moist and powdery. I'm not sure if that's a pro or a con, but there's absolutely no white cast, which could be a downside for some who want a slight brightening effect. But the best part is that my face hasn't gotten red and irritated like it used to when I used other sunscreens, and I haven't had any breakouts at all! I'm sticking with this one!
ConsThe smell is a bit...not exactly nauseating, but not a pleasant smell either. I can't really describe it. It's a scent I've never encountered before. And when I touch it, it feels like there's some kind of film on my skin. It's a bit suffocating, which is a bit disappointing.

It has a milky texture that glides on smoothly and evenly without any white cast or pilling. There's also no stinging sensation around the eyes! While it does have a fair amount of oil content, it doesn't look or feel overly greasy, just slightly dewy. This makes it great for layering foundation on top without compromising the skin's appearance. The moisturizing effect also lasts throughout the day, preventing any dryness or tightness.
ConsIt does feel moisturizing, but the moisturizing effect is more akin to a silicone-coated sensation rather than a natural, skin-like feel. However, the most bothersome aspect is the scent. I was surprised to find no mentions of the fragrance in other reviews. When I tested it at the Olive Young store, I initially thought the tester was expired and had gone rancid, but apparently, this is the original scent. It's an indescribable, sticky, baby-like odor that I have to hold my breath to apply. Even after application, the lingering scent on my face bothers me throughout the day. While everything else about the product is great, the fragrance is a dealbreaker, and I'm unsure if I would repurchase it.
TipIf you're not sensitive to fragrances, this product is otherwise quite good. However, be sure to give the scent a thorough sniff when testing it out.
