I'm completely satisfied!!! Finally, I've ended my sunscreen nomad journey. The essence-like texture actually has a soothing effect - it felt cool and calmed my skin. It's moisturizing, absorbs well, and has a good balance of oil and moisture. It's a lightweight type too. I usually like to apply sunscreen thinly in the proper amount all over my face, and then layer it. When I applied this twice, using about a 100 won coin size each time, it felt like I'd just applied a light gel moisturizer - that's how little stickiness there was. With just one application, it feels as light as an essence. Anyway, it's hard to find this kind of texture among any drugstore sunscreens. Banila Co has always had great products, but it's a shame more people don't know about them. It's like a hidden gem... For me, it's like a second Clio (I'm glad Clio is doing well now). It absorbs quickly, so foundation applies well over it too. There was no pilling at all (I used a slightly rich and moisturizing foundation). Anyway, I really love this! Even though it's a gel type, unlike other sunscreens that can make your face red and cause foundation darkening due to oiliness, this doesn't do that at all. (Though I did use a setting spray, so that might have prevented oil from coming through. I'll know better in autumn? I'll add another comment after using it more.)
ConsIt's a bit disappointing that it's not a hybrid chemical-physical sunscreen, but I'm still satisfied with this. I'm going to stick with this forever, so please don't ever reformulate it!
TipThe color is purple, but it doesn't have any color-correcting properties.

Absorbs quickly too. I love that the finish isn't oily. Even when applied before makeup, it doesn't pill at all - it actually feels like it's acting as a base? It doesn't have correcting properties, and the brand doesn't specifically market it as a base, but makeup seems to go on better. Now that I think about it, since it contains essence ingredients, maybe that's why it creates such a nice, hydrated canvas for makeup. No blemishes: My skin is incredibly unpredictable. I can never tell what will or won't agree with it. Products that are fine on my body often cause reactions on my face, so I have to test everything there. Sunscreens were especially problematic. Even baby-specific brands that claim to be gentle would make my face sting and turn red. I got to the point where I'd just put up with anything as long as it didn't cause blemishes... which led to me often not using sunscreen at all. But this product was a game-changer. I got a sample because I use Banila Co's cleanser, and I bought the full size immediately after trying it. It's truly as gentle as a skincare product with zero irritation. I'll definitely repurchase when I run out. Packaging: The pump dispenser is great - two pumps is usually enough. It's easy to control the amount, and I like that there's no risk of contamination. Soothing ingredients: Redness was always my biggest concern in the sun. I didn't mind tanning much since that fades quickly, but my skin tends to turn red rather than tan, and I already have rosacea, which made it worse. But since using this, my redness has decreased. Of course, my overall skincare routine probably played a big role, but seeing the reduction in redness has really boosted my confidence.
ConsPrice: To be honest, it's not exactly cheap. 22,000 won for 50ml... But what can I do when it works so well for me? I'll end up buying it again... I just hope they don't discontinue it.
TipI'll definitely repurchase! I'm buying it again as soon as I run out.

But I do worry about sun damage, so I always make sure to use sunscreen. The one I was using felt too heavy and sticky, so I decided to switch. I was hoping for something that felt more like an essence or emulsion, just like the name suggests! Absorbs well: It was exactly the light, emulsion-like feel I was hoping for. Not sticky at all, and it just sinks right in! I love the slight cooling sensation when I apply it. It's so hydrating that I can skip my regular emulsion and just use this before heading out. The scent is a bit strong. It's hard to describe, but it smells like herbs you might find in medicine. If you're sensitive to cosmetic fragrances, you might not like it. But the scent doesn't linger like perfume, so it didn't bother me! As you can see, the color is purple. I'm not sure why, but maybe they wanted it to match the packaging? It doesn't have any whitening effects, but it looks nice!
ConsFunctionally, there weren't any real issues, but the amount you get for the price feels a bit small. If you're looking for the best value for your money, this might not be the best choice.

The absorption is not bad either. I was worried it might be sticky, but it absorbs instantly, leaving my skin moisturized on the inside and soft on the outside.
ConsThe pump bottle has some issues. And the price point compared to the packaging? It's a bit disappointing. I'm slightly hesitant about wanting to buy it. I find myself thinking I should only get it during Banila Co's 1+1 sunscreen promotions. The pump bottle is really inconvenient.
