The formula is lightweight, so it absorbs well and doesn't feel sticky. It's almost like it disappears faster than water! However, because of this, it doesn't provide any moisturizing effect. Oh no! From day one, the redness was no joke, and my skin was itchy and irritated like crazy. I bought it on sale for 36,000 won at the Ewha University store, but it's still expensive for the amount you get. They said it was their best-seller and had won some award, so I tried it, but I'm so upset it didn't work well for me. Usually, I buy products based on their ingredient list, but I wasn't sure if this one had particularly good ingredients (denatured alcohol right after water, though birch sap follows). I thought maybe the formulation or know-how could make a difference beyond just ingredients, so I took a chance. But it turns out the lightweight, quick-evaporating freshness was probably due to the alcohol, causing irritation and making my skin super red. At first, I thought my sunscreen might be causing the skin reaction, so I used this product for 3 more days. My skin barrier completely broke down, and I had to apply ointment every night. When I stopped using it, my skin improved... so it was definitely this product. The store had before-and-after photos of someone with acne whose blemishes disappeared, but it doesn't seem to suit dry/sensitive skin like mine. Not only did it not work, but it made things worse. It might work for oily skin, but I think dry and sensitive skin types will likely experience irritation like I did. For those with dry and sensitive skin, it's best to test it out for a day and only purchase it the next day if there's no reaction. I think it's better for those with dry skin to avoid this product if possible.
