Plus, the ingredients are gentle on the skin. Unlike typical diaper rash creams that contain zinc oxide, this one is made with soothing oils like lavender, tea tree, and calendula. (This isn't to say zinc is bad - it's excellent for soothing. However, zinc-based rash creams can be hard to wash off. Earth Mama's Diaper Balm is superior in terms of cleansing.) When my baby had severe diaper rash, I used a zinc oxide cream, and after finishing that, I started using this product as a follow-up. So I'm not sure how effective it is on severe rashes on its own. I suspect it might be slightly less immediately effective than zinc-based creams.
ConsThe jar packaging means you need to use a spatula for hygiene, which can be inconvenient. When applying, you might feel some granules, but they quickly melt and disappear as you spread the cream.
TipApply by gently rolling it on rather than patting.
