To be honest, there aren't many positives, so I'll focus on objective information. The scent is a mix of herbal and powdery notes. It's incredibly strong - you know when you're walking down the street and someone wearing an overpowering powdery perfume passes by? That's what this is like, but even more intense. It hits you like a punch to the nose, even through a mask. If you enjoy cosmetics with strong fragrances, you might like this. The cream has an ivory color and a surprisingly high level of hydration. I initially thought it was a lightweight moisturizer, but it's actually a rich, nourishing cream. It applies smoothly and blends well on the skin, leaving a silky finish. The moisturizing effect lasts quite a while, making it suitable for dry and very dry skin types, but not recommended for oily skin. While I was satisfied with its moisturizing properties, the scent was so overpowering that I had to wash it off immediately. Even after washing, the fragrance lingered. I had to cleanse about 5 times with a peppermint oil cleanser before the powdery scent started to fade, though it didn't completely disappear. It's remarkable that the scent persisted even after washing my face 5 times with a cleanser - truly impressive, but not in a good way. The fragrance is extremely strong and overpowering. I've never encountered such an intense and harsh scent before. It's making me dizzy. I'm mixing it with an unscented cream to neutralize the fragrance before applying it. - 7e******Normal SkinAcne SkinRecommendedDec 13, 2021
The first ingredient is not purified water, but red ginseng water - this definitely gives the impression that it's worth investing in. It absorbs well, and despite its function (night cream/nourishing cream), it's not greasy and absorbs nicely. The next day, while not dramatically different, it leaves the skin feeling smooth. Personally, among herbal cosmetics, this has the most subtle and pleasant fragrance. Apart from giving a glow to rough skin, it doesn't seem to have any other benefits - it has no effect on blemishes, brightening, or blackheads. Even though I sometimes use cheaper nourishing creams, I end up repurchasing this occasionally due to its price and ingredients, but I'm not sure about its effectiveness. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRecommendedJun 11, 2021
It has just the right amount of nourishment. The richness is suitable for people in their 20s and 30s. However, it's not as rich as what people in their 40s, 50s, or 60s might need. Try using a sample generously first before deciding to buy. - sk****Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedMay 3, 2021
I've had a great experience with Donginbi's Ampoule Essence, and trying their cream has been equally satisfying. The texture, application, and absorption are all above average. While the absorption isn't slow, I wouldn't mind if it were a bit quicker. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 26, 2021
It absorbs well and applies smoothly. After exfoliating, when I use this, my skin feels incredibly soft the next day. I've rarely seen negative reviews about Donginbi, and I can see why. I read tons of reviews before buying because of the high price, but it's truly worth it. I was planning to buy a real cream, but ended up with this essence cream? It's quite expensive. The quantity is also rather small. I'll definitely repurchase this. There's nothing quite like it on the market. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedMar 17, 2020
It's definitely great for hydration. The moisturizing effect is fantastic without any stickiness. The texture feels light, but when applied, the hydration and richness are incredible. It's almost like a balm. Since it's not a cream that clogs pores with a sticky feeling, I didn't experience any blemishes. It's lightweight, but the hydration is truly top-notch. Perhaps because of its light texture, it keeps getting into my eyes. The stinging sensation when it does is the most disappointing part... It has a slippery feel, almost like a very fine oil, which is why it keeps getting into the eyes. Some people might find the glow a bit overwhelming. In that case, after applying this cream, it's good to layer something lighter on top. You can use any cheap emulsion, cream, or sample as a final layer. This creates an extra coating, making the glow more beautiful and preventing it from getting into your eyes. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedNov 4, 2019
The strong ginseng scent gives it a luxurious feel. After just one application, my skin feels incredibly hydrated the next day... All signs of dryness completely vanish! The price is quite steep.... Also, if you lose that little spatula for scooping out the cream, it becomes really difficult to get the product out,, - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedOct 17, 2019
As someone with dry and sensitive skin, I find this incredibly moisturizing. When I wake up in the morning, my skin feels amazing! The scent is a bit off-putting, and the price is way too high. I'm concerned it might not work well with my toner routine. It's great for applying to the forehead, cheekbones, and under-eye areas. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedDec 19, 2018
It's great. When I apply it before bed, my face feels as hydrated in the morning as if I'd slept with a mask on. It is quite expensive though... I'll need to use it for years to justify the cost. Only buy it duty-free - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedNov 25, 2018
Oh wow, the texture is so rich and creamy, yet it applies smoothly when you put it on. I used it after a Donginbi sheet mask and my skin feels so hydrated! I understand it's a ginseng-based product, but I wonder if they could have offered other scent options... I mixed it with some vitamin E oil and it feels even more moisturizing now
