I've been using the Donginbi skincare products step-by-step, but the recently launched Single Essence feels quite similar, and it's been a hassle to apply the products in order, so I haven't been using it lately.
It's a shame that despite the high price, its presence isn't strongly felt when it's not there.

I really enjoyed using the 1899 signature oil, so I purchased another product from the same line. Although it's called an oil, the formula is as light as water and absorbs into the skin without any greasiness or tackiness. The watery toner-like texture allows for refreshing hydration.
Applying it right after cleansing helps to smooth the skin texture, making the next skincare steps absorb better.

The evil price is burdensome, but I like it.
It's not as dramatic as the first time, but it's good in terms of dryness.

It has great spreadability and absorption too.
I feel incomplete without it now.

It's too light to use in fall and winter, so it's not usable.

As the oil and sebum start to rise gradually in spring and summer, this is a good time to use it. The dryness also increases along with the oil.

The skin was very dry, but after applying it, it felt moisturized and had a blend of oils, so it didn't feel as dry and seemed good. It also contains red ginseng ingredients, which seems even better.

 Given that Donginbi is a premium brand, the price for this product doesn't seem too high considering the quality.

The usage experience and subtle fragrance are all good, but the product's characteristics - the volume, price range, dropper format, and texture - make it a bit limited in terms of versatility. I typically use a skincare routine of toner > water essence or ampoule > cream, and I'll occasionally use this product at the essence/ampoule step.

When using a water essence, I like to generously apply it or use it as a sheet mask to thoroughly hydrate my skin. But with this product's features, I can't really do that - I can't dispense enough for full facial coverage, nor can I really use it as a mask. It's also a bit too light to fully replace an ampoule or serum. So the product feels a bit in-between in terms of its purpose.

However, I think this would be an excellent option for those who want the benefits of an oil but are concerned about potential breakouts. It could work nicely as a pre-ampoule/serum step in that case.

 I've never used high-end cosmetics like Donginbi before. But I received it as a gift and have been using it. The packaging and product containers are really incomparable to SNS brands or roadshop products. The containers are luxurious and have a unique concept (not like typical oils) and even contain precious red ginseng oil, so the value-for-money satisfaction is extremely high.

This product is so skin-like that you wouldn't even know it contains oil just from the name. It's not as greasy as a cream, but it's not as watery as a skin or water essence either. It's not sticky like an ampoule, but has a slightly more moisturizing feel than a regular skin. If you want to provide your skin with oil components without the oily feel, this seems like an excellent product. It also feels refreshing after application.

One slight disappointment was that the applicator was more difficult to use than expected. It's a tip-type, but the product comes out in tiny drops, leaving you wanting more!

Great oil for dry skin, giving a natural glow. If you've found your usual emulsion or essence to be drying, try mixing in some Donginbi oil! It's perfect for those dealing with dead skin cells during seasonal changes or fall/winter. Even for oily skin, when mixed appropriately, it seems to help soothe flakiness and make the skin look firmer.
