Pros

Pros
I have sensitive skin and scalp, so if the product ingredients are not good, it flares up right away. But this one didn't do that!! I was a bit anxious because I'm sensitive to the centella extract, but since it's only in a proper amount or maybe it's formulated differently, I used it without any trouble. And before, I struggled with seborrheic scalp and breakouts when using other shampoos, but this one has really helped improve that~ Not only does it wash my hair clean and squeaky, but the ingredients themselves seem to have a calming effect. The lather doesn't come out as much as shampoos with other surfactants, but that actually gave me more peace of mind. They said to be careful not to get it in the eyes, but when washing kids, the hair cap doesn't always prevent it from getting in (or if they rub their eyes during bathing...) So I tried rubbing my eyes a bit after applying it (not too much) and my eyes weren't severely reddened or stinging, just a slight eye irritation. So I'd still advise kids to be extra careful. When using it for a full body wash, it had just the right amount of moisturizing for summer. Not overly heavy, but like a light lotion application. I think I can use it as an all-in-one in the summer without worrying (though for very dry kids, I'm not sure). For my kid and me, it was fine even after playing in front of a fan after washing.

Perhaps it's because this is a product for babies? It had a very thick, soap-like feel. The lather does come out, but it wasn't quite enough to cover the entire scalp. It might be fine for newborns, but for toddlers over 3 with more hair, you'd probably need to use a lot of the product. (Though I did appreciate that it seemed to have removed a lot of the harmful ingredients.) It also felt stiffer than regular soap. As mentioned, it had that thick, creamy soap-like texture that doesn't spread easily (not ideal for scalp massage). Even after rinsing and drying, the hair felt stiff, so it may not be great for kids with more hair. And the scent!! At first I was like, "What is this??" I expected a nice blend of nourishing oils, but instead it had this very strong, unique smell, almost like bug spray or something. Kids can be sensitive to scents, and even for adults, this would likely be a love-it-or-hate-it kind of fragrance (90% would probably hate it). (The 5-year-old girl I used it on actually refused to use it because of the smell.) Not sure if it's from over-blending oils or an intentional scent, but this is something to consider. (Even other eco-friendly, natural products with polarizing scents aren't quite as intense as this one. The smell lingers even after washing.) Also, if you don't carefully finish the area around the opening, the product can get stringy and drippy like jelly. The thick, gooey texture seems to cause this buildup around the dispenser, so you have to be careful not to just squeeze and slap it on when bathing kids, or you'll end up with that drippy mess.
Tip
Using a lather brush to generate sufficient foam would probably be a good idea. When I used it for a newborn (under 1 year old) as a shampoo and body wash, it didn't seem problematic, but for slightly older kids, the friction might cause some hair damage (even if just using it on the scalp, the massaging and washing could still be an issue). I did find that you need to really wet the hair to get a good lather going. It's great, there's hardly any fragrance and it's not irritating at all. My child doesn't even seem to have any eye irritation, so it seems really good.^^

First of all, I'm so glad that there are no harmful ingredients! My daughters are 3 and 6 years old, and the older one has sensitive skin. She had severe eczema since she was a newborn, which later developed into atopic dermatitis. So I've been using only mild, slightly acidic soap products after extensive research and with the help of my friends. But I was so happy to find this gel-type, slightly acidic product! I pumped it a couple of times onto the washcloth and it created such rich, abundant lather. My daughter has been insisting on using this product by herself ever since! At first, I wasn't sure about the scent, but the more I used it, the more natural and not artificial it seemed. My kids haven't had any issues with this product, and when I washed their hair, I just pumped it a couple more times. Oh, and I really like the product packaging and the name - they're so pretty! There are so many good things about this product, and I will definitely consider purchasing it again in the future. First of all, as the product is used by my child, I was relieved that it has a hazard rating of 0 for all ingredients. I have been using it daily with my 52-month-old son. The formula is a slightly sticky gel type. When using just your hands, the lather doesn't form well, but using a towel creates a rich, pleasant foam. It has a fragrance-free Dr. Bronner's baby feel, which I really like. Most fragranced products tend to have harmful ingredients. When using it on the body, it leaves a refreshing and moisturizing sensation, which I enjoyed.

This is a Hwahae Trial Reviewer review I'm a mom raising two children, 47 months and 26 months old. I always carefully check the ingredients of products my children use, and I was really pleased that this product doesn't contain any harmful ingredients at all.^^ With just 2 pumps, it creates a rich lather in the shower puff, enough for both my children to use.
