You should use only a very small amount, and apply the product to the area when your skin has moisture, as this will increase the absorption rate. If your skin is on the sensitive side, it's better to fully absorb the previous product before applying this one.

The downside is that it has to be purchased through direct import. And it also has a slightly drying feeling. When I apply makeup after using this, it seems to accentuate the dryness.

Since my skin became sensitive, I stopped exfoliating, and my skin texture became rough. But after using this product, my skin texture has improved a lot. I mixed a small amount of the viscous toner into my moisturizer and applied it, and while it stung a bit, the effect seems to be good.

It seems to be effective for small acne, but it doesn't seem to control larger breakouts.

I tried using a product that contained Aelaci Acid, as I had seen good results with it before.

I've never seen a product that makes scars disappear so quickly before ㅠㅠㅠ

I usually have really bad breakouts when I use exfoliating products daily
I think it's because the exfoliation is too intense
But everyone says their acne got cleared, so I just thought I'd give it a try even though it was cheap
But this also caused huge breakouts for me.....
At least on my chin, the big breakouts were only one or two, but I could see a lot of small ones, so I just applied it on my chin
My chin used to have a lot of small acne that made my skin look dirty even with makeup
But once those calmed down, my skin just looked like it had some leftover acne scars with makeup
So I just kept squeezing the big ones, putting hydrocolloid patches, and sometimes using ointment on them, while just continuing to apply this on my chin

I still get small bumps coming up (I'm using a separate exfoliating product once or twice a week but they won't go away ㅠ)

But the small breakouts have calmed down a lot
And the scars have faded so much that I'll keep using it

 If you can't control the dosage, you may experience the same stinging sensation as with tretinoin. Gradually increase the amount and use it similarly to tretinoin - mix it with a moisturizer, apply a generous amount of moisturizer beforehand, or use it only in targeted areas. 

If you're using it for general skin brightening and not for severe breakouts, don't use it too frequently. It can have the opposite effect on people with thin skin, as it inhibits keratinization. The visible effects may be similar to tretinoin, so make sure to moisturize well after using it, or your skin will feel dry the next day. 

There's no photosensitivity, so you can use it in the morning, and it's fine to use with other antioxidant products (not retinol). But since it is still an irritant, be mindful of your skin's tolerance.

Some have mentioned the ingredients, but unless you have specific concerns about potentially harmful components, you don't need to worry too much. Phenoxyethanol is a stable preservative, and without emulsifiers like dimethicone or triethanolamine, the azelaic acid cream would be very dry and powdery. If you dislike that, you'd have to get the pharmaceutical-grade version, but it's curious that people are okay with the preservatives in the drug form but not the cosmetic one.

 When the item is in stock on Coupang, direct imports are fine. But if you try to just buy this from the official website, the shipping costs will be a concern. Since there seem to be many people like me, the items sell out quickly even when I try to buy two at a time. I'll probably have to stock up every time they come back in stock. If I'm frustrated, Leopharma should just make Azelaic acid more readily available, you bastards.

 For people with large pores and oily skin who develop thick skin and excessive keratinization, azelaic acid is extremely helpful in treating their acne.
It helps remove excessive keratinization, inhibits keratin formation, and reduces inflammation, which is very beneficial for comedonal acne. It also helps fade discoloration, quickly improving acne-related pigmentation, and has been widely used as a skin-lightening agent.
However, azelaic acid is no longer allowed to be used in cosmetic products in Korea.
The Ordinary's gel-cream formula is easy to dispense the right amount and is soft. I prefer the cream type over the essence.
I have various prescription ingredients on hand, such as benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, clindamycin, retinol, retinal, and tretinoin, except that azelaic acid (20% in OTC formulations) has become very difficult to obtain after it was transferred from Bayer to Leopharma. I eventually had to resort to purchasing it through direct import, as even large pharmacies in regional areas no longer carry it. I'm frustrated because the authorities seem to be putting pressure on Leopharma.
The reason I'm frustrated is that I have an isotretinoin allergy and cannot take it, the over-the-counter products I have don't solve the problem (even salicylic acid is in low concentrations, so I had to import it), and physical treatments at the dermatologist have their limits. I faithfully follow my skincare routine, but without completely destroying the sebaceous glands, it's just a matter of extractions and peeling, which is why I waited a week to receive the imported product. I also imported tretinoin because it's much cheaper to buy it directly than to get a prescription.
And the very next day after applying it, the inflammation was reduced by half, which made me both happy and frustrated again.

○ The application is not smooth. It feels more like a coating rather than being absorbed. I haven't tried it with a base makeup, but I think it might cause foundation to slide off.
○ It is difficult to purchase. Having to order it directly or through a purchasing agent is a major downside.

○ It is really effective for acne. Personally, it worked better than other products containing 0.5% salicylic acid. After applying it on the forehead acne morning and night for 3-4 days, it cleared up completely.
○ It was less irritating than salicylic acid. It did not cause any redness or stinging.
○ It makes the oily areas feel more matte.

Apply a thin layer on acne-prone areas or scars, and use it as a spot treatment on blemishes. Highly recommended!!

The acne is calming down, not completely settling, but it seems to be subsiding.

After toner, I apply this cream and finish with a lotion or moisturizer depending on my skin condition. It perfectly addresses dryness and my skin feels soft and smooth the next day, even without any new breakouts!

I don't know why, but when I apply a lot, my skin feels a bit irritated and itchy. I bought it through direct import since I couldn't find it locally, and the product itself was affordable, but the shipping cost was quite high. The delivery also took almost a month haha

If you find it burdensome to apply due to sensitive skin, you can also mix it into your existing moisturizer and apply it.
